Would love some feedback, if you would take a minute to read (I know might be a little lengthy) this and respond it would be very much appreciated.
I am sitting here organizing and putting away what we had left from yesterdays craft sale and pondering our next steps. What do we make next? What do we put in it? Where are we headed with these products? What is the end goal and why is it important to us? Then I look around at my kids and not only what we put in our body, but what we put on our bodies. You read an article or see an ad that says PHTHALATE FREE, SULFATE FREE, PETROLEUM FREE, BPA FREE, VEGAN, ORGANIC, ALL NATURAL, NO ADDED PRESERVATIVES, NO ADDED...... What in the world is all of this, why does it matter, Is it just a trend going around or is there something to all of this?!?! So try to do some research and whew... there is a lot of information and I still don't know that I get it all, but we have decided that the less chemicals we can put in our bodies and ON our bodies the better. But how do we do that with out breaking the bank, some of the prices for some of these product are ridiculous. That is where we figured we would just make it ourselves, but not just for us let's share it with others that might feel the same way. This is where I need your help, What are some of the first things you look at when purchasing a skin care product? Is it price? Is it ingredient list, or maybe fragrance, how it looks...? What is important to you? Is there a product you would like to find that is more natural to use that you haven't found yet that you like? A couple of my kids have reached the point that whew, when they have been playing you can smell it for sure, but they are still pretty young and I cringe at the thought of them rubbing the typical deodorant on them, but if we don't do something, they aren't going to have any friends. LOL So top of my list is to make a deodorant that is effective, but safe. What about lotions, shampoos, face creams,.... ? Are these things that other people are looking for? Is it worth it to make and sell? Some of these products do cost more to make ( not like some of the prices I have seen though) but is it worth it to use 100% pure essential oil instead of a synthetic fragrance oil, or a natural colorant (food/plant based) instead of a dye? ........ So many options, so many questions, So many different roads to travel, ........ Please give us your thoughts as we make plans for our next move. Thank you so much!
