This holiday season shop small & local. Small businesses are being hit the hardest by multiple fators. Let’s continue to support the community ❤️

Moment of vulnerability here, as I went to pay bills this week I realized how hard hit we have been these last few months.

I think it’s a combination of things, including economic factors and continued construction in the village, but it’s reminded me of how difficult it is to run a small business.

As you start or continue your holiday shopping, please shop local as much as possible. Small businesses are essential parts of your community and offer so much more than just a place to shop. Yes, you may pay a little more, but what you gaining is invaluable.

As for us specifically, we love being a part of the Fairport and Perinton community. A safe space for people to know they’re accepted. A place for you to find your next adventure or that sticker that speaks to you that maybe you can’t put your work laptop. The place where your child excitingly gets the next Dog Man or Wings of Fire Book. We’d love to know your name, provide you with a recommendations, or discuss current events (in the world or your life).

We can’t do these things if you don’t shop with us. We know you can books at many places. We know they’re almost always less expensive somewhere else. But remember when you’re thinking about where to spend your money this holiday season (and always) when you shop with a small business you are supporting the community that supports you 🫶
