Here is a Madame Alexander Cissette, she needed Restringing and some fingers rebuilt. I drill holes in the ends where the finger should be then put a wire in so I would have something to build onto then I use superglue and tap baking soda onto that one drop at a time until I build up a finger, then sand and paint.

This is the information the owners gave me about this piece when I got ready to repair him.
Now we are not sure if Dad got him in Korea ir in Japan on the way to or from Korea or in California on the way home..but we found it with a Korean scarf and he was stationed in Korea for a short while after WWII as radioman in the Army before Korean War started. Was called back when it started..but ended up not having to go..

Was Lt.in Calvary in WWII in Greenland, New Guinnea and Korea (after War ended and before Korean Conflict became a thing)..so 5 years in service.
The decorations are attached to a piece of cardboard that had broken in several areas so I had to repair the cardboard before I could work on the decoration part of the uniform lots of glue and patients lol a hand carved the feet, and then also the legs for the box that he sits on and sanded and painted.

Here is the famous Emmett Kellie. He laughed so hard at his own jokes that his head fell off, oh dear!
So a kind hearted Doll
donated her body to him and with some great imagination, someone will do something with her head that is amazing. I’m sure.
Some will recognize his body as the magic skin body when they start to deteriorate they either melt or they turn hard as a rock and crumble. It’s a chemical breakdown and there’s nothing you can do about it that I know of so far.
Feel free to ask questions I don’t mind sharing my knowledge.

Here we have a big girl, Vintage, that her owner brought in for repair repairs. I gave her a bath and wanted to keep her as original as possible so I used a pre-sewn body that many use on the “re-born” dolls and slipped it over her original body and took it in, in places where it was needed and put poly fill in to fill out other areas. Because the torso’s are made of a hard plastic these vintage dolls tend to get very crumbly so the cloth body gave me something to attach the arm to, that arm would obviously be a little looser, but would still give her the ability to pose.
Feel free to ask any questions I don’t mind sharing my knowledge.

These two porcelain girls had an adventure much like Humpty Dumpty. Necks were broken fingers were broken, but I got them all back together and they are back at home with their original owner. Hopefully their next adventure won’t be as damaging.

This doll is not for sale, she’s just waiting for her owner to pick her up and this is just showing the restoration process.
Here we have an unusual 1940’s Doll,
her name is Monica of Hollywood. She is a 17 inch composition with painted face and rooted hair. I believe she was the only composition doll with rooted hair. All other composition dolls, either had painted hair or wigs.
In the pictures, you will see her restoration process. If you have any questions, feel free to ask I’m happy to answer.
