Did you know that up to 14% of new mothers suffer from postpartum depression? I was one of them. And I wish I had the support I needed during that time.

My husband had to work, and without maternity leave, I was back to work in 4 weeks, even after being physically unable to walk up the stairs for the first two. I remember night after night, I would be working at 3 am on scattered 20 minute naps, just trying to keep up.

That wasn't even the worst part... What was even harder was the expectation from people outside our home that I should still be able to have dinner ready, that the laundry should be done, the house should be clean, floors mopped. It seemed like everyone was allowed to set expectations, have opinions on our life, and make comments, but not ONE person said "are you okay? Is there anything I can do to help?"

Don't assume you know - don't assume a smile answers the question. Check in, have a real conversation, and offer help in any way you can.

We take so much care in formulating our products, and every new batch is an opportunity to evaluate and improve. We would never sell something we didn't absolutely love and use ourselves, but no matter how great something is, we would be foolish to think it couldn't get any better.

For my regulars, you may have noticed we haven't had many bath and body products out since we cleared our summer inventory, and the reason behind this is because we don't just grab some DIY recipe off the Internet and put it out to sell you, and we don't just keep using the same recipe.

Every item we create is our own recipe, crafted through careful research and testing, and by learning the science behind crafting cosmetic formulas. Trial upon trial, tweaking things here and there until the outcome is just what we envisioned - using the foundation of what we previously created, and building off of that for a continuously improved product.

But day by day, more progress is made, and you will start seeing our new items out.
➡️Firstly, our candle recipe has changed a bit, which will provide improved burn performance and scent throw. Every day we have been making new candles, and every day they are flying off the shelves! And for good reason! But we will keep them coming!
➡️Second, our sugar scrubs have been reformulated to provide more "stick" during your scrub, resulting in less scrub falling off the skin (this really drove me nuts) and significantly less needed during use. Can't wait to share these with you!

🧁Tomorrow you'll see an old favorite scrub- Our Lemon Cupcake - back out, with our improved formula. As well as some others!

Today we have some green zebra and a mix of sweet cherry tomatoes- chadwick, large cherry, and our personal favorite, yellow pear.
