❤️Our dear friend and coworker, Bill Holmes, recently passed away, leaving behind a community that is better because he was part of it.

Though Bill spent the past few years with us at the Cannonsburg Village Bottle Shop, he was a familiar face in the Cannonsburg and Parnell community for decades, owning local businesses including Yukon Jacks, Beverage Center, Northend Snowplow, Parnell General and the Lena Lou.

Bill never met a stranger. He loved sharing stories, listening intently to others and talking about the people he loved most.

This Sunday, August 9, on what would have been Bill’s 81st birthday, we invite you to celebrate his life & birthday with us. If you knew Bill at any point in your life, shared a story, a laugh, or a conversation with him, or were touched by his kindness in any way, we’d love for you to join us.

Hosted by Bill’s daughters, Heidi and Kim, and the Cannonsburg Village family, we’ll gather to raise a glass, share stories, and honor a life well lived.

Please Note:
• Honey Creek Inn will be open Noon–4:00 PM for the celebration. Our kitchen will reopen for regular pub dinner service from 4:00–8:00 PM.
• The Cannonsburg Village Bottle Shop will be closed Sunday so our staff can celebrate Bill’s life alongside his family and friends. We look forward to seeing you all Sunday. 8/9/2026
