Thank you to everyone who has reached out.

Five months ago on June 12th, my father passed away, finally beating cancer but succumbing to liver disease brought on by half a decade of intense chemotherapy..

And this morning, Rob, my partner in life as well as in business, passed away suddenly, unexpectedly.

For the past year, he's been working hard, doing an amazing job helping restore the shop to an unprecedented state, just as my dad had spent hours upon hours renovating the building, repairing damages, and adding his own artistic touch through carpentry. This store, this building, is filled with memories of them both. Everywhere I look, I see my dad; everything I touch, I see the man who supported me through everything, especially the many losses in the past four years.

We were excited to, this month, surprise everyone by finally announcing our reopening. But now, I have to apologize again because I don’t know when I will reopen. What I do know is that I won't allow to go to waste the hard work of both men I loved.

I’m sorry we haven’t been open.
“We.”
All that remains of “we” now is just me.

And this morning, Rob, my partner in life as well as in business, passed away suddenly, unexpectedly.

For the past few months, he’s been working hard, doing an amazing job helping restore the shop to an unprecedented state, just as my dad had spent hours upon hours renovating the building, repairing damages, and adding his own artistic touch through carpentry. This store, this building, is filled with memories of them both. Everywhere I look, I see my dad; everything I touch, I see the man I was certain I’d spend the rest of my life with.

We were excited to, next week, surprise everyone by finally announcing our reopening. But now, I am so sorry. I don’t know when we will reopen, but right now, I know I can’t do this.

I don’t have the energy to contact everybody individually to let all of our dear customers know… I don’t know how long it will be, and I’m sorry.
