We are a small native plant nursery who only use organic and sustainable methods to grow plants that are a part of our vulnerable ecosystem. We believe native plants are superior in their abilities to contribute to their environment. Plants that are native have co-evolved over thousands of years with native insects and are uniquely able to sustain life by playing a part in the delicate web of life. We also believe that plants that have been grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers or insecticides are better for the environment and are better contributors since they are free of chemicals that can harm the very insects and fauna we are trying to protect. We are excited to be a part of the growing native plant movement and want to help others learn about and understand the necessity of planting natives.

These are the days we’ve been waiting for. Fall!!! 🌻🍂 Everything seems to exhale this time of year and the colors take on a whole new level of intensity. All of nature seems busy gathering resources for the shortened days and coming darkness. It’s an amazing time to be outside and I am once again thankful for some of my life choices that have lead me to where I am today. Fall is the best time to plant trees, shrubs, and many perennials and we have a huge assortment ready to go home with you.

We are here Tuesday-Saturday 10-3 and can’t wait to see your beautiful, shining faces. 🌞

No AI here! 🦋 I don’t know about y’all but we are getting a little burned out on seeing all the AI slop out there. Nature is the original intelligence and I will take it with all its messy authenticity any day over false perfection.

Finally seeing pipevine swallowtail caterpillars! Better late than never! We have lots of pipevine (Aristilochia tomentosa) in stock and ready to go home with you. We are open Tuesday-Saturdays 10-3 this time of year. Come see us and grow your own butterflies! 🥰🦋❤️

All I can say is, “Wow. What a day!” I finally took this video when we slowed down for a few and I was able to catch my breath. The weather was HOT, but y’all came out big and supported us, and our mission of getting more native plants into the landscape, and I just can’t thank you all enough. Bat Night was amazing with a great showing to top off the day, and we got to hang out in the dark at the nursery which is always a good time. ☺️Live music today was by my friends the Mimosa Porch Pickers (they were sooo good!!). Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support today and we hope to see you all again soon! We will now be officially on fall hours through December which is, Tuesday-Saturday 10-3. We can’t wait to see you soon!! ❤️🪕☀️

Happy Labor Day weekend and Pawpawfest eve! We are loaded down with all the great native plants you have been patiently waiting for all year- White Dogwood (Cornus florida), Florida Anise (Illicium floridanum), Coral honeysuckle (Lonicera sempervirens), Pipevine (Aristilochia tomentosa), Passiflora incarnata, Echinacea, Yaupon, various native fruit trees, and of course Pawpaws (Asimina triloba). The nursery is full to bursting and we need to move this stuff out so all trees and shrubs are 20% off tomorrow, September 5, 10-3 and 7-8:30pm. We will have pawpaws and pawpaw jam to taste in the morning, bluegrass from 1-3, and bat night from 7-8:30. We hope to see you, too!! Stay cool everyone!! 🪕❤️🌻☀️

Excited to celebrate Pawpawfest this Saturday, 9/5 from 10-3! We will have a few unicorn fruit for everyone to taste if you come early. We have plenty of pawpaw jam available, too. Just a reminder that we will be closed tomorrow and Friday to prepare for the event. We will have live bluegrass from 1-3 (my daughter will be playing mandolin) and all trees and shrubs will be 20% off. Come spend some time with us and get ready for fall planting (even though it still feels like summer). ☀️🦄🌻

Moths, bats, 🦇 and other pollinators are still at work when the sun goes down! ✨🌙Come do some evening shopping and learning with us this Saturday, September 5 from 7:00-8:30 with Kathleen McElroy and Dr. Thom McElroy for another Bat Night on behalf of the Georgia Bat Working Group. We will highlight the ecological interactions of moths, bats, and native plants. We will dive into how we can "Protect the Night Shift"! To round out the night, we will do a bat watch with Echometers.
All trees and shrubs will be 20% off this Saturday only!

Late summer is official when the sulphur butterflies return! ❤️ We will be closed next Thursday and Friday September 3-4 to get set up for our fall opening day, September 5. I will post more details next week leading up to the big day so please stay tuned! It’s gonna be lots of fun with tons of new plants on sale, live music, and pawpaw tasting 10-3, and then Bat Night that evening 7:00-8:30. We hope to see you and your beautiful smiles on the 5th!! 🌻🥰🦋
