What happens when the beginner decides she wants to understand the WHY behind everything?
Meet Tina Camacho, creator of AQUAintuition.
Tina brings something intentionally different to The Wet Floor. She isn’t interested in pretending to be the person who has kept fish for 40 years. She’s the hobbyist who is still learning, asking questions, making mistakes, studying the science and sharing what she discovers along the way.
Through AQUAintuition, Tina and her husband Jesus focus heavily on helping newer aquarists understand their tanks instead of simply memorizing rules. Her approach centers around four principles: Patience, Intention, Consistency and Stability. She manages multiple planted freshwater aquariums and creates beginner-focused, science-based educational content.
She’s also an aquatic artist and study of aquatic botany, bringing plants, creativity and a slightly different way of looking at the aquarium to the conversation.
On The Wet Floor, Tina represents the person willing to say:
“Okay…but WHY?”
And then keep asking until the answer actually makes sense.
