The July full moon, most commonly known as the Buck Moon, has several alternative historical, seasonal, and cultural names rooted in Native American, colonial American, and European traditions.
At this time, the antlers of bucks (male deer) are in full growth mode. This Native American name was noted by Captain Jonathan Carver during his travels in the 1760s. An alternative name is also the Raspberry Moon / Berry Moon: (Algonquin, Ojibwe, Anishinaabe) Points to the peak ripening time for wild berries. Our drink featured on the full moon on 7/29 will be the RASPBERRY BUCK MOON!🦌🌝 (Skye vodka, raspberry purée, & club soda! Only $8)
A delicious drink to try! Cheers!🏴☠️We Love our ‘Cussers!
