World Oddities Expo - Nashville

Where to begin?! You all were great! From the fellow vendors that make it feel like a home away from home, to the entertaining performers doing some amazingly talented body-defying acts, and of course all the odd loving patrons that stopped by to check out some awesome minerals and fossils and keep me laughing and smiling all day till my cheeks hurt, thank you from the bottom of my heart for weekends like this. And BIG shout out to my sister Alicia Frizzell for the beautiful photos, hanging out with me, and seeing what World Oddities Expo is all about it.

I’ve been getting all my fall and winter shows scheduled, so take a look at where to catch Geo in the next few weeks. The World Oddities Events are some of the best shows to date. Des Moines will be a new city for me to check off the list of travels. Make sure you catch the new Carbonalien festival downtown for move in weekend!

All set up for World Oddities Expo Columbus, OH! There are so many vendors here, I have already gotten lost trying to find my way back to the booth. I’m across from Kinky Earrings, which are pretty fun to look through. There is lots of cool art, dead things, good smells, and the best weird folk performing and vending all day till 7:00 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

All set up for World Oddities Expo Springfield Missouri going today (6/20) and tomorrow (6/21) from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm general admission, 10:00 for VIP, which is worth it. The show performers are some of the best, the fellow vendors set ups look amazing, and the music is loud!! Love the lettering on the new banner Slow And Green Fashion it really adds the final touch to the booth we’ve been missing.

Can’t wait for the show again next year! These were some of the best mineral displays and selections at a single show I’ve ever seen.

Now time to unpack and repack for World Oddities Expo Louisville on June 13th and 14th.

The Ben E. Clement Mineral Museum hosted its annual Mineral, Gem, Fossil and Jewelry show Sunday, aiming to educate and share their knowledge with the community.

It was so much fun camping and visiting the Painted Rocks National Lakeshore of Michigan and visiting the Burpee Museum of Natural History for a little vacation. Up next we are going to the 19th annual Ben E Clement Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Show(6/6-6/7), World Oddities Expo Louisville, KY (6/13-6/14), World Oddities Expo Springfield, MO (6/20-6/21), and World Oddities Expo Columbus, OH (6/27-6/28). A busy June but we are looking forward to it and the adventures that come with this crazy life.

Black Kyanite

Kyanite can come in a variety of colors like blue, white, light gray, green, yellow (rare), orange, pink, and in this case, black. The black color is due to graphite, magnetite, ilmenite, and annite inclusions.

Kyanite is used primarily in refractory and ceramic products, including porcelain, plumbing, and dishware. Kyanite is also used in electronics, electrical insulators, and abrasives.

Black Kyanite is believed to assist with connecting inner bridges, connecting with nature, psychic abilities, past-life recall, telepathy, and empathy. Black Kyanite is associated with the root chakra.

Graves Mountain Spring Dig 2026 was such a fun time. Met many awesome people, bought and traded for some neat rocks, and got to dig some on Sunday when the weather was better. I’ll be back in the fall, life permitting, and am already looking forward to it.

All set up at Graves Mountain spring rock swap and dig. The weather is beautiful, the vendors have amazing rocks to pick through, and the hospitality of the event organizers is unbelievable! Digging takes place each day this weekend, from 8 am to 6 pm. If you can’t make it, put the first weekend in October on your calendar for the fall dig.

World Oddities Expo - Chicago was one for the books. I didn’t get many photos with how busy you all had me but it was so much fun to see friends and make new ones. Come back and see us in December!
