Lately, importing has brought more than its fair share of surprises. But being asked to provide documentation for “live animals” to the brokerage office was definitely a new one. Somehow, our squirrel, hare, and owl coasters and postcards were mistaken for actual living creatures rather than décor!

Thankfully, everything from our newest partners, Miiko Design of Finland, arrived safely and is now making its way onto our shelves.

We have lots more on the way and are always happy to ship — though we’ll continue to draw the line at live animals.

Now we’re just preparing ourselves to explain on the next Dala Horse order that those 100 horses aren’t alive either.
