Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. We spent ours away at the lake with friends and it was just what we needed to push us into August and all that it brings (more peaches, SO many tomatoes, back to school 😯)
This week I am so pleased with how the local produce is shining through the bakes. Our focaccia features beautiful local peaches and jewel like blackberries combined with fresh chèvre, honey and basil. It is such a treat! We are also featuring a new sourdough loaf, Pesto & Parmesan. It is loaded with fresh basil pesto and plenty of tasty Parmesan to make the perfect accompaniment to your summer salads and grilled meats!
Breads will be available at Market on Market on Tuesday from 3-7. Fresh loaves will be delivered to People's Provisions on Wednesday and Friday. They will be at Helena's Chocolate Cafe & Creperie on Friday late morning. And you can order for Carlisle porch pickup and borough delivery Friday afternoon. Please have orders for Friday in by 10am Thursday to ensure proper planning and fermentation.

Happy Friday! I’m still getting used to this new schedule and have to remind myself to get my posts out there for you guys!
It’s been a pretty busy day in the bakery, but we’ve got the last round of sourdough cinnamon raisin swirl in the oven now. I’m enlisting all the kids to help so we can get everything to you as quickly as possible. Breads will be at People's Provisions and Helena's Chocolate Cafe & Creperie a little later this morning. Orders for pick up will be in the cabinet by 12 PM. We do have two extra loaves of rustic sourdough today if anyone missed the order window and would like something.
Delivery will start shortly after. And then my family is headed for a much anticipated weekend away with good friends!! See everyone soon!

When the farmers market gets rained out and you’re left with a whole bin of Rustic Sourdough and you get your hands on these gorgeous peaches from tuckeysorchard you get to chopping!
Any guesses on what’s on the menu for next week???

A little late getting this out there today, but be sure to stop by Market on Market this afternoon from 3-7 for all of your tasty loaves and my favorite focaccia’s. And the special Fougasse this week is Plum, Ginger & Basil…it’s subtly sweet and super satisfying!
Also, be sure to grab your baguettes this afternoon while they’re on a special sale! (I had a little issue with my pans so the back of the loaves aren’t quite up to my standards, but they still taste the same and have the crusty outside and fluffy inside that you’re looking for!)

Happy Monday! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I know I really loved getting a little more rest and time with my family thanks to the new Friday schedule. How did the new Friday pickup/delivery schedule work for all of you?
I’ve had a few requests lately, so Sourdough Cinnamon Raisin Swirl is back this week! I’m also swimming in zucchini so the scones this week are a take on one of my favorite quick breads-Chocolate Chip Zucchini. They are SO good with your morning coffee!
Breads will be at Market on Market Tuesday from 3-7. Breads will be delivered fresh to People's Provisions on Wednesday and Friday. They will also now be delivered fresh to Helena's Chocolate Cafe & Creperie on Fridays as well. Quick Reminder for folks that missed the news…all bread orders for the weekend must be in by 9AM today (Thursday) in order to be ready for *Friday* pickup and borough delivery!
(Also, if you order via the website at www.thewholesomeloaf.com please disregard the confirmation email that still says Saturday pickup and delivery…I’m working on changing that!)

Summer is seriously showing off in our bakes this week! Farm fresh blueberries in the scones, organic tomatoes from Chicano Sol, basil from garden, fresh mozzarella from Caputo Brothers Creamery in the focaccia and a few bonus peach focaccias with delicious peaches from tuckeysorchard. Make sure to stop by this afternoon from 3-7 to pick up your favorite summer baked goods!

Happy Monday! This week we have BIG announcement for Carlisle customers…we are transitioning from Saturday pickup/delivery to FRIDAY ONLY pickup and delivery. After many conversations with my family we felt that, after nearly 5 years of a very full baking schedule, we really need some family time on the weekends. So we are now doing all of Carlisle’s pickups and deliveries on Fridays to allow a real weekend on Saturday and Sunday. Everything else stays the same, although deliveries will take place a little later in the day to allow time for my wholesale deliveries in Perry County on Friday mornings. We thank you in advance for understanding our need to make this small change that still allows us to bake fresh bread for you every weekend.
We have lots of your summer favorites this week-Tomato, Basil & Mozzarella Focaccia, Blueberry Lemon Scones and Sourdough Jalapeño Cheddar. All of the produce and dairy this week has been sourced locally so there’s no need to fear any contaminated fruits or veggies!
Breads will be at Market on Market in Camp Hill on Tuesday from 3-7. They will be at People's Provisions fresh on Wednesday and Friday. And you can order for Carlisle pickup and borough delivery on *Friday afternoon.*
Please have orders for Friday in by 9:00 AM on Thursday!

Happy Saturday! Normally I don’t much care for rainy bread delivery days, but if the rain helps to clear the smoky air I am all for it this morning!

I am just loving the flavors on the menu this week! The fresh rosemary in the Rosemary Olive Oil Challah is a delight. The roasted peaches combined with caramelized onions and lots of garden basil are heavenly! And the best news is that all of these ingredients are sourced locally so we don’t have to worry about any nasty parasites contaminating your baked goods! I think it’s always a good time to buy local, but that’s proving true now more than ever. Support your local farmers and makers and everyone wins!
