Walnut Farm Designs Store open on Fridays, 9am - 8pm, unless posted here otherwise. We are also open by appt. Welcome! I am enjoying living my dream.....a simple country life.

I grew up on a dairy farm in rural Pennsylvania and love simple, country life. I have always been creative and as a child I learned to crochet from my grandmother for whom it was a lifelong passion. After our family moved back to central Pa and onto a historic little farm, Walnut Farm Designs was born. The Lord has blessed me with more than I could have imagined by giving me a little business out

of what I enjoy. We raise Blue Faced Leicester sheep and I look forward to being able to sell their excellent wool. These animals provide us with wonderful fiber and lots of entertainment. I love working with the colors of fibers and spinning yarn. There is always something new to try and enjoy creating here at Walnut Farm Designs! I have just one of each of these mini skein sets in the store. I haven't had enough gradient and color morphing skeins and mini sets in my life! I had made this small order from Wonderland Yarns and Frabjous Fibers earlier this year to have a little something different and fun in the store with the PA Yarn Crawl going on. It takes a while for the yarns to get dyed up and delivered, so they just came in last week.

So pretty, and dyed on tweed!!!! Perfect for fall! I have three 4oz brains of this colorway.

50/50 Natural Black Baby Alpaca/ Superfine Merino wool blend. A customer had wanted more of this blend. Last time I didn't use Superfine Merino in the blend, so this time it is softer! The natural black Baby alpaca can give slight brown tones here or there in the blend, but otherwise, it's a nice coal black and so soft! This concludes the new blends that came in last week! 'Black Sheep Tweed' is back after being sold out for a while!! This custom blend is 62% South American wool and tweed nep and 38% Natural Black Shetland Wool. South American wool is a mix of Merino/Romney/Corriedale wool. The natural black Shetland wool in this blend makes it a beautiful dark gray heather. Shetland wool has long been a great favorite for wool spinners, and what is better than rainbow tweed!!! I have 6lbs of this blend in stock.
