is a reminder of so many things - First and foremost, for me, is the reminder that every day is the anniversary of someone's trauma and heartache and that the anniversary of your (or our) worst day might also be the anniversary of someone else's joy - a birth, perhaps their wedding. It is a reminder to treat every person we encounter with grace and compassion.

This remembrance plays no small part in why Dani's Pixel Place chooses - it enables me to gather the stories and add them to publicly accessible albums so that MY remembrances and experiences and those of my friends and family can be part of the for future generations to learn from because there is an entire generation that doesn't remember what happened that day, and so it is our job to help them to understand the reverance with which this day is treated.

On the other end of the spectrum - It enables me to collect more personal stories in private albums for my own descendants to know their family who came before them. They can learn to know "Uncle Scotty" whom we lost in a tragic accident years before they were born. They can remember their younger years with the special love of Nonnie. They will always have proof of how deeply they are loved by me.
