Jungle Diaries 📚

One afternoon we were all hanging out by the river. Some people were swimming, others were fishing, while a group of young girls spent the afternoon collecting wildflowers along the riverbank.

The river is so much more than water. It’s where they play, where they learn, where families gather, and where nature becomes part of everyday life.

A little while later they came back carrying these beautiful handmade bouquets and gifted them to us.

It was such a simple gesture, but one we’ll remember for a very long time.

For over a year we kept waiting - telling ourselves it wasn’t ready, that it had to be perfect first. What we finally realized is that it’ll never feel perfect until you’re here in it with us.

So we’re opening our space anyway.

For years we’ve been bringing the purest cacao out of the Peruvian Amazon - wild-harvested and sourced directly from Awajún communities and small family farms, with no middlemen in between. Now you can finally come taste it for yourself.

Stop by to shop cacao, say hi and be part of the very beginning of this new cacao adventure.

This means more to us than you know. We love sharing a little of our home country with you, and with your support, we’re able to give back.

This cookie dough treat is topped with crunchy cacao nibs and a layer of melted ceremonial cacao for the perfect bite every time.

Ingredients:
- ½ cup peanut butter
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ¼ cup sugar-free maple syrup
- Pinch of salt
- ¼ cup Cacao Adventures Cacao Nibs
- Melted cacao: Tropical Desert Block from Cacao Adventures

For thousands of years, chocolate has started the same way: with a cacao tree, a farmer, and a harvest.

Now, that might not always be the case.

Technology can do incredible things, but not every problem needs a lab to solve it. Sometimes the simplest foods, made from real ingredients and real communities, are already enough.

If chocolate no longer comes from a tree... is it still chocolate?
