Did anyone see the videos about the rose called "Powder Puff" last week?! I was so mesmerized because the texture and color looked so useful!
I grabbed a bunch last week and here's my review
-Very unassuming in the packaging, don't let that fool you
-Not quite as big as a rose like "Secret Garden" but still over 5 inches wide on most of them
- They spin out so easily, even when quite cold, but will bruise easily if you force it. I'd wait a couple days for them to hydrate and warm up if you can
- Bigger than the Expression roses, not as tight, way more interesting ruffles, but as far as I know, only come in this pale cool blush
-They smell fantastic!
- The first one I spun out fresh out of the cooler at Welch had definite touches of lavender cast on the back of the center petals AND a peach cast on the underside. Fascinating and complex enough to keep me going back for more
- Similar to a Cafe au Lait dahlia, some are more champagne, some are a deeper cool blush. Only three out of the whole bunch leaned warm, and the rest are similar to the coloring of David Austin "Kiera", but nowhere near as saturated. Lighter outer petals, and more color that's central
Biggest Pro: the texture and low effort spinning out!
Biggest Con: bruise easily/wanted them to be less pink
Now back to emails:)
