Just in case you didn’t know, we sell fountains—and we’ve got the most extensive selection in central Indiana! From tabletops to statement pieces, we have a perfectly-sized fountain for every imaginable location, and so many cool styles, models, and patinas to choose from!

Even though it feels like summer is slowing down a bit, we still get cool new things every week! Some of our current favorites are the Funyella® Clematis, Groundbreaker® Ruby Hydrangea, and Musa ‘Nono Pink’ Variegated Banana!

💛 Funyella® Clematis is a Proven Winner variety with pointed petals and two-toned yellow and pink bell-shaped blooms that emanate a crisp grapefruit scent. Its burgundy stems add further interest, and Funyella® blooms on old wood, so no annual pruning is required. You can’t go wrong with a low-maintenance delight!

❤️ Groundbreaker® Ruby Hydrangea is a low-growing panicle hydrangea bred for dense branching, compact growth, and a spreading habit. As a result, Groundbreaker® Ruby acts like a ground cover, making it an excellent choice for low borders, foundation edges, slopes, and more. Happy ! It’s a beautiful day to feature a fragrant favorite—Sambac or Arabian Jasmine! This species of jasmine, known more formally as Jasminum sambac, is native to Bhutan and India, and is widely cultivated for its attractive and sweet-smelling flowers.

𝗕𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗖 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘
𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: Full sun
𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿: Keep soil moist (but not soggy)
𝗦𝗼𝗶𝗹: Moist, well-draining

Cultivars of Jasminum sambac, like this beautiful ‘Belle of India,’ love the sun and will thrive in a spot that gets 6-8 hours of direct sunlight per day. However, they can also handle partial sun, with as few as 4 hours of sunlight per day. Although you can plant jasmine in the ground, your plant will suffer in our Indiana soil without intentional amendment. It would be best to mix compost into your garden bed—or repot your jasmine in a decorative container with ample drainage, and evenly moist, well-draining soil (like our ferti•lome High Performance Container Mix). Amending your soil with additional perlite would be wise! Jasmine also likes to dry out just a bit between waterings—when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch or the plant appears slightly wilted, give it a thorough soak. If potted in a decorative container without drainage, discard excess water and never let the roots stay submerged for an extended period of time.

Sambac Jasmine is only an annual in Indiana and will not survive the winter outdoors, but it can be brought inside and cared for as a houseplant. We can’t guarantee that it will thrive or survive indoors, but it’s always worth a try.

Happy ! Today, it’s our honor to introduce you to Cordyline, also known as Ti Plant! Cordyline is native to Australia and the Western Pacific Islands, and is believed to bring good luck.

𝗕𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗖 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘
𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: Bright to medium indirect light; avoid direct sun
𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿: Keep soil moist (but not soggy)
𝗦𝗼𝗶𝗹: Moist, well-draining

The key to a thriving cordyline is finding the right sunny—but not 𝘵𝘰𝘰 sunny—spot. Cordyline’s stunning tropical foliage is unfortunately susceptible to leaf scorch and bleaching with direct sunlight, so bright to medium-bright light with some morning or afternoon sun is ideal. Dark-colored cordylines can tolerate brighter light once acclimated, but if your cordyline is variegated with lighter colors, indirect light is best. While you can plant your cordyline in the ground, it will suffer in our Indiana soil without intentional amendment. Instead, we recommend potting your cordyline in a decorative container with ample drainage, and with evenly moist, well-draining soil (like our ferti•lome High Performance Container Mix or Ultimate Potting Mix). It wouldn’t hurt to amend your soil further by adding in some perlite or orchid bark! Cordylines like consistently moist soil, but hate having “wet feet”—water thoroughly when the top inch of the soil is dry, roughly once or twice per week. If potted in a decorative container without drainage, discard excess water.

Cordyline is only an annual in Indiana and will not survive the winter outdoors, but it can be brought inside and cared for as a houseplant. In fact, cordyline is proven to improve air quality and create oxygen, so trying to keep it alive in your home is an environmentally friendly choice! We can’t guarantee that it will thrive or survive indoors, but it’s always worth a try.
