This blue green color can mean your ph is off. This photo is from a friend who is on a well. The PH was low, causing metals to leach from the plumbing into the water. The solution was a specialized media to raise the PH.

This homeowner originally called us because the water softener was leaking. The process of repair led to the discovery that only his hot water was being softened, not the whole house. (Acknowledgment to Clay for spotting that from this photo.) We then assisted with redoing the existing plumbing to completely soften the water.
