A little reminder for any shop owners who follow along. The Note House is open for wholesale! 🤍

I LOVE shipping my personalized orders straight to the person who will fill them with their own words, but there is something special about seeing my designs on a shelf too, tucked between the other things a shop owner has chosen with care.

My wholesale line comes boxed and retail ready, so it’s easy to unpack and set right out on your displays.

If you have a boutique, gift shop, bookstore, or stationery corner that could use some hand-drawn warmth, I’d love to chat.

Wholesale info is linked in my bio, or just send me a DM and I’ll walk you through it.

(And if you know a shop owner who’d love this, tag them below!) 👇

Back to school season always brings a mix of excitement and a few nerves too, for kids and parents both. “My Week Ahead,” a printable weekly planner for kids, was made with exactly that in mind.

It’s simple. A spot for each day, a little space to write down anything that’s on their mind (including the nervous stuff), and room to jot what they’re grateful for that week.

A few quiet minutes together before the week begins can make a big difference.

✏️Download and print on standard US letter sized paper
✏️Print as many as you need

Today marks the last day of Pride Month. I hope it was full of color, joy, and celebration for all of you.

Pride is about so many things, but at its heart it’s about belonging, being seen, and being celebrated for exactly who you are. That’s something worth honoring all year long, not just in June.🌈💌

Tomorrow, on Juneteenth, the Obama Presidential Center opens to the public, and the timing feels intentional in the best possible way. It has been over a decade in the making, the first presidential library to be entirely digital, and run by the Obama Foundation rather than the National Archives, giving it more freedom to tell its story on its own terms.

Located on Chicago’s South Side, it is as much a community hub as it is a landmark, with a public library branch, gardens, gathering spaces, and a museum chronicling one of the most remarkable presidencies in American history. I hope to visit it in the near future.

At today’s dedication ceremony, Michelle Obama gave a brilliant speech that has left me in awe.

The truth of this country doesn’t lie in grabbing as much as we can for ourselves, or knocking folks down to prop ourselves up. It lives in the overwhelming goodness, the relentless striving, the quiet dignity that is inside all of us.

Juneteenth is a day that asks us to reflect on how far we’ve come and how far we still have to go. Former First Lady Obama’s words feel like both a comfort and a challenge.

My little book received its first online review, and it might be the best one I could have hoped for.🥹

Cheryl bought Ready, Write, Send! for her grandchildren, and now they are planning to exchange letters all summer long. This is exactly why I made this book. Not just to teach kids how to write a letter, but to give families a reason to stay connected across the miles, one envelope at a time.

If you have a child, a grandchild, a niece or nephew, or any young writer in your life who could use a summer pen pal, Ready, Write, Send! is ready when they are.💌

✏️Years ago in my first grade classroom I led my students in a yearlong letter writing exchange with Native American students living on a reservation in Arizona.

✏️What happened in that classroom changed me. My six year olds sat up a little straighter, chose their words more carefully, and counted down the days until the next letter arrived. They were not just learning to write. They were learning that their words mattered to someone far away who was waiting to hear from them.

This booklet is my love letter to that experience.
