I made this murrina about 20-25 years ago, a portrait of Wangari Maathai from Kenya. It's always great when someone comes to the Pike Place Market from Kenya and they are amazed to see her represented!
She won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2004 for starting the Green Belt Movement to have 30 million trees planted. A bead with this murrina is in the 2009 edition of Lois Sherr Dubin's "The History of Beads",
