Grave markers are drilled to different sizes. We make 12" × 18" flags on 3/8" dowels and 8" × 12" flags on 5/16" dowels. Here’s what one customer noticed:

As a mark of respect for the memory of Dolly Parton, I hereby order, by the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, that the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions until sunset, September 1, 2026. I also direct that the flag shall be flown at half‑staff for the same period at all United States embassies, legations, consular offices, and other facilities abroad, including all military facilities and naval vessels and stations.

Buzz Aldrin is the only person who saw it happen.

Six American flags were planted on the Moon.

Only five are still standing.

Apollo 11 planted the first one too close to the lunar module. Buzz Aldrin watched the exhaust knock it flat on liftoff.

NASA photographed the other five from orbit in 2012. Fifty years of unfiltered sunlight has almost certainly faded them to pure white.

Alaska's flag was designed by a 13-year-old!

Benny Benson entered it in a 1927 school contest. Eight gold stars: the Big Dipper, and the North Star for the northernmost territory in the country.

The territory adopted his design 32 years before Alaska became a state. It has never been changed.
