The MIJ Gretsches keep rolling in, and they are STUNNING!

Here’s a look at the Broadkaster Jr. LX– a slightly smaller bodied, semi-hollow guitar with flame maple top, back, and sides, Pro Twin Six humbuckers with independent volume and treble bleed, and a no-load master Tone with a Squeezebox capacitor. Brian’s running it through the equally luscious Carr Telstar with an EAE Longsword providing some hefty dirt.

The Reverend set-necks are rolling in and the batch we just received is HOT hot fire!

Spencer’s wielding the new Roundhouse 290 in Metallic Bronze, which sports a pair of hum-cancelling Steelhead P90s for incredible articulation and extra burn when you’re pushing hot glass tubes! The tubes in question here belong to the Carr Skylark Special, which we just can’t seem to keep in stock over here. Come check it out!

You always remember your first. Sometimes you hang on to them, sometimes you sell them online and buy something else. Here’s a rundown of some things we used to have when we were teens and/or tweens.

One more with Mr. Swaso on this absolutely gorgeous Fender Custom Shop Deluxe Telecaster Dual Stack!

In case you missed Friday’s post, we became Fender Custom Shop dealers while Brian was out west at NAMM earlier this year, and our first batch has just come in!

Hugh’s playing through an overdriven Carr Mercury V (and nothing else!) for some British-tinged grit and tangy, tube-driven spring reverb.

Here’s a look at the new Dealer Exclusive Ultra II Telecaster in Antique Olive!

Roasted maple neck and fingerboard with a compound radius; an S1 switch for series/parallel wiring on a pair of Custom Shop Texas Special single coil pickups… what’s not to love!?

Check out Brian’s full run down with the new-to-us 2018 Carr Sportsman!

New friend-o-the-shop stopped by whilst on tour to check out the John Osborne Telecaster the other day and we managed to finally give it a proper demo!

This Tele is highly customized, most notably with Fender’s own B-Bender design, which lets you get pedal steel style bends with just a tug on the strap button. There’s also a pair of specially voiced John Osborne pickups, pickguard, and a road worn nitro finish that make this guitar truly unique.

Drew is playing through an EHX Memory Toy for some subtle slap back delay, going into a *gently* used Carr Sportsman

Make sure you check out Drew Hutson Rogers on tour now!

This Blue Rite Special guitar was made in Japan by Hiroshi Kido (aka Kid) as part of a limited run of guitars in the 1990’s. Kid’s guitar shop built high-end replicas of guitars including a Red Special played by Brian May. This model was made from a Yamaha Flying Samurai body and outfitted with Mosrite hardware and pickups. The “Blue” in the name comes from the band Terry (Takeshi Terauchi) and Blue Jeans. During the ‘60s in Japan, Terry was known as the “King of Electric Guitar.” The “Rite” part of the name came from Mosrite Guitars which are often associated with surf guitar music. Less than 50 of these guitars were made, making it a truly rare guitar to come across. And this guitar is in really great condition.

Here are the specs:

-Alder body
-Maple neck
-Royal Pearl White finish
-Rosewood fingerboard
-22 Vintage frets
-Brass Nut
-Zero fret
-Two Moserite pickups
-Master Volume and Master Tone control
-3-way Toggle switch
-Moserite Vibramute Tremolo
-Vintage style tuners
-Pearloid pickguard
-8lbs, 2oz
-Hard shell case

And here Reece walks you through the ins and outs of neck and bridge resets on a fabulous 1975 Guild F-512. Not to brag, but there’s two in the shop for repair right now.

Whammy bar under the strings, that’s the way!

The MXR EVH Modern High Gain debuted recently, and this thing RIPS. If you want the sound of the 5150 red channel out of basically any amp, this is the one for you. We’re particularly fond of using the HiWatt Pedalsmith 30 these days for a high-headroom pedal platform, and it handled the Modern High Gain like a champ.

Many thanks (and apologies) to Mr. Brian Dennis for loaning us the EVH signature axe!
