Same pattern. Two completely different looks! 😍

This is one of our favorite things about quilting—seeing how fabric choices can completely transform a pattern!

These two quilts were made from the exact same pattern, but you’d almost never guess it at first glance.

One is warm, earthy and a little more subdued, with rust, blue, cream and chocolate tones.

The other we went ALL IN with color—bright pinks, purples, aqua and lime for a fun, happy, energetic look.

Same pattern. Totally different quilts.

It was a great start to the day at Painted Pony Quilt Shop! We hosted the Carroll Chamber of Commerce coffee this morning. It was fun to talk about the extensive renovation our 1902 building has undergone, and we enjoyed chatting with Chamber members, business professionals and community members. It was a great turn out, and we appreciate everyone stopping by.

This is certainly not shop related, but I’m so proud of my hero husband and I just have to share this story. 🩷 If you know Justin, you know that this sort of thing is not uncharacteristic of him, and he’s not one to enjoy the spotlight, but when you save someone’s life, it doesn’t go unnoticed. Great job Justin and Gerod!

Two Midland Power Cooperative employees were honored Wednesday for rescuing a 76-year-old Iowa woman who spent about three hours injured and stranded outside her home. And she was there to hug her heroes.
