How do flower farmers survive the summer you ask? By staying inside as much as possible! Here’s a quick look at a week in the life of a flower farmer:

Sunday night: pick flowers

Monday morning: spray with foliar feed to ensure the flowers are getting the nutrients they need to bloom
Monday afternoon: make bouquets

Tuesday: flower delivery day 💐

Wednesday night: pick flowers

Thursday morning: pull weeds, tend to struggling flowers, repair drip lines, etc.
Thursday afternoon: make bouquets

Friday: flower delivery day! 💐

Flower Fact Friday
While it may be H.O.T. , summer is actually one of my favorite seasons. I absolutely love the long evenings! There is time for a walk in the park or a swim AND time to pick flowers in the evening.
It’s best to pick flowers at dawn or dusk and I much prefer dusk. I feel less rushed, I get to wind down alongside the sun instead of trying to race against it in the morning. Plus the garden at golden hour is just perfect. There is truly no better way to end the day 💕
