🎉Our 25th anniversary T-shirts are on the way!🤩 We want to share more about the story behind the painting!

From the artist:

“I really wanted to find a way to incorporate the market itself into design. I decided to use items from vendors at the market to stamp onto the canvas to create the 25, symbolizing 25 years of Saturdays at the Cotton Mill Farmers Market.

I got so lucky that Crager-Hager Farms had both strawberries and blueberries for me to add to the painting. I think it may have been the last strawberry harvest of the season when I did the painting. I used kale from them as well. I used sourdough from both Triple F Homestead and Black Dirt Bakery. Black Dirt Bakery’s bread happened to be rosemary Parmesan, so I used fresh rosemary from Beech Creek Orchards to add onto the bread. Also from Beech Creek, you can see stamped cabbage and pepper slices.

There’s sage stamped in there from a plant that came from Soul Flower Gardens, along with flowers from a gorgeous bouquet from Hillside Blooms and Vines that turned out stunning on the canvas.

And there’s one thing hidden in there that’s very special to me: my favorite market dog’s paw print. Can anyone find it? And can you guess whose it is?”
