One heads up, we may or may not be closing slightly early (like 5pm) on Friday this weekend since we’ll be up in Stateline / South Lake Tahoe seeing Built To Spill at T H E H A N G A R - otherwise we’re open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 11am-6pm as usual. Bass player B picked up a stone cold modern classic in Unwound’s ‘Fake Train’ as well a newer record that is fast becoming one. Plus a couple other old school classics by Ramones and The Clash. Great pickup! Also, an update on that Original copy of Mort Garson’s Plantasia, it’s sold!

Today we were called and asked to pick up someone’s collection of 95 Elvis Presley LPs, and you better believe we did. There are some very uncommon ones including imports in there, if you’re an Elvis fan like we are. But we think none of those are quite as uncommon as an original copy of Mort Garson’s Plantasia in near mint condition. This record was given to folks who purchased a Simmons mattress in 1976. Many visitors to our shop have picked up lovely reissue copies, but this is by far the nicest original copy we’ve had come in. What a treat!
