How was everyone's holiday weekend? Did you do anything fun and exciting?

I took a much needed unplug. No TV, no computers, no work. Sadly, my brain doesnt know how to say no to the camera. My boyfriend and I went out of state to see family we hadn't seen in 5 years. 😬 We hit the county fair, which is so different from ours. They had 2 grand stands and the horse arenas were half the size. 2 barns for draft horses, 2 for minis, and 3 for normal horses. They even had a whole area just for halflingers. And I kid you not when I say there were hundreds of food vendors. Ive never seen so many in one place.

But as much walking as I did, it didn't compare to the hike we went on. Cliffs and caverns and waterfalls. It was beautiful. This image is just a small sample of the photos I took on the hike. I was the only one not afraid of the height and was able to get some amazing shots right at the edge of the ledges.

On the way home my boyfriend and I made an impromptu stop at cedar point. There was barely anyone there. Much needed quality time just the two of us. But now we are back home and im back to editing photos. More photos from the hike will be posted after I get caught up. But it was magical.

Normally I dred indoor arena lighting, but this industrial look with that little light made for some awesomely unique shots. Especially mini liberty class at the Thumb Miniature Horse Association.

All images from the Thumb Miniature Horseman's Association are now up! There are images from the Rattle Run Farms show that I havent fixed yet, so if you are wanting any images from that show, put them in a favorites gallery and I will get to them.

Also, this is the last set of images that will be on this platform. From here on out all upcoming shoots and shows will be added to my new gallery platform. Im excited for the switch as I will be able to do a lot more with organizing and packages. 😁

If this was the face you pictured from yesterday's post, then you are correct. Kahlua is in fact judging us hard core 🤣🤣 She is completely over our shenanigans.

More riders from Armada Fair have been completed as well as more candids of other riders are available. I think I have hit my half way mark. 😬

😂 I’m dying over this photo. 😂 These sunglasses were sitting on a horse’s face, and the reflection in them makes it about 100 times better. 🤣

So now I need everyone to use their best horse-psychology skills…

🐴 What expression do you think she had on her face while looking at THIS view? And more importantly… what was going through her head?! 😂

Caption her thoughts in the comments. Wrong answers are highly encouraged. 😂 I have a feeling this mare was judging every single one of us from behind those rose-colored glasses. 😎🐴

Horse show kids are a different breed. They’ll spend all day showing, hauling tack, cleaning stalls, wrangling horses, sweating through their clothes… and when they finally get five minutes to sit down?
“Yep. This manure wagon looks comfy.”

Accommodations: questionable.
Leg room: excellent.
Aroma: thankfully removed.
Cowgirl approval rating: if it fits it sits 🤣🤣

You definitely dont get to play inside a silo everyday, so we took advantage of it during today's senior session. This was sooo cool and we had so much fun. I love it when I can work and vibe with everyone. Makes the day even more magical. Can't wait to work on these.

This image was taken with my phone and not my camera. So the quality is a bit.... horrible lol, but a shot that HAD to happen. I had to use my panoramic settings, which unfortunately my camera doesnt have, in order to get the entire height of this silo.

With MIHA coming up im looking to see who may be interested in having me out to shoot?

Im looking into making up team packages that would include photos of each riders event, team photos, candids outside the ring and coach shots.

Just like I did for Armada, these would be private hire sessions and would only cover 1 day or weekend. I dobt remember how MIHA's show bills looked.

Im am limiting this to district 12 and 14 only as of right now.
