It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William Timothy "Tim" Hackney, who left us on June 8, 2026 at the age of 68. Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life at a Send Off Service Saturday, June 27, 2026 with visitation beginning at 10:00-10:30 immediately followed by the service at Glory Harvestor Church, located at 1988 Joe Frank Harris Pkwy NW, Cartersville, Ga 30120. Tim is survived by his wife Kelly Hartley Hackney , daughter Sara Laterza (Kurtis) children Gio, Arie, Luca and Vinny, daughter Maylee Sanford (Colby) son Beau. He has two sisters, Billie Gaskin and Linda Hackney Lanham (Ferman) and his late brother Jerry Hackney (Janice) Janice Ray Hackney, along with several nieces and nephews. His parents were Bill and Gladys Hackney. Thank you all for your love, support, gifts and kind words during this difficult time.

I'm relieved and thankful to find a wonderful family who's willing to give Tavi a good home. I'm also sad to see her move away. She's already very content with her new 10 year old girl and she'll have a 13 year old boy. They have a little more land than I do that's a very similar environment. The nicer thing is it's further from the road and there's only one way out. The couple is so nice and he's a Hospice nurse. After having Hospice for my dad then Tim, they have a very special place in my heart. It was mine and Tim's Hospice Chaplain who offered up the final prayer for this situation. I'm sure God and Maylee Sanford made the perfect choice for me and Tavi.

I'm thanking God for a caring, loving husband. I found a bag of stuff and wondered if the contents really mattered. I dug through to find out and found a detailed set of information and instructions that Tim left for me. Suddenly a lot of what he told me the last few years made sense. Just when I was missing him so much, I got to the bottom and saw this.

Arrangements for Tim are in the works but I'm waiting for his ashes. I'll post when I have an answer.

With a broken heart and a heart full of joy for Tim, I need to let you know that Tim met his Lord and Savior face to face at 10:03 a.m. yesterday. Thank you all for your many prayers, gifts and kind comments over the last few weeks. My family and I covet your prayers in the days ahead. When I know our arrangements I'll be back to share.

Thank you God for another day.

Praise God!!!! The fact that Tim Hackney lived to leave the hospital alive is nothing short of a miracle! If we could see his internal body, we would be looking at a devastated warzone with smoldering ashes. It is only God keeping Tim alive now. His body is too weak to receive any treatment that would be offered to any of us under similar circumstances. And yet, God saw fit to bring Tim back home. We slept good last night. Tim is still sleeping. When he woke up he reached for me and gave my hand a good, firm squeeze. He talks as clearly as you or me. He makes his request known. Keep praying for him/us. Whether we get more miracles this side of Heaven or Tim steps into Heaven, Tim is victorious over Satan's attempts to destroy him. So I say, Praise God! Glory Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus! And let the people say, AMEN!

Tim is going home on hospice tonight To say he even made it out of the hospital is a work of God in itself so we are grateful and give praise for that! Please pray for safe and comfortable transportation and a smooth transition for us to go back home. Tim isn't better or worse.

The store is now officially closed. Tim is still with us. Most of the time he's sleeping but he still wakes up and talks now and then. Last time I was saying I love you. Maybe my tone had sadness in it because very matter of fact he said, "I'm not gone yet Kelly." 😅❤️ It's just like him to make me laugh.
Thank you all for doing business with Tim through the years. He loved it. More than that he loved talking about God and praying with you. Almost always he came home telling me what he and God had done that day. My family and I greatly appreciate your prayers over the last 15 days. Keep the prayers going until God completes this story. Then, we'll go from there. As Tim would say, "It isn't over until God says so and the fat lady sings. And, God hasn't said and she hasn't sung."
