Try to keep up! This story is a winding road! Meet Paula Sue and Paula Sue, who at one point had the same last name due to one marrying the other’s brother. Awhile ago, Paula Sue on the right gifted Paula Sue on the left the blouse she’s wearing. Fast forward to Saturday and Paula Sue finds the exact same blouse in her size!! Each treasure has a story just like the treasure hunters and we love hearing them. (On a side note, Paula Sue also worked with my father in law for many years). Did ya catch all that? 🪎😊🪎

While locking our door to end the day, I thought of our hard work. All the customers, sorting, restocking, lifting, cleaning, stairs, etc. Then I turned around, looked up and saw REALLY hard work. Uriah became bored shopping with his grandma and offered to be our Security Officer/Door Greeter. The door was opened for customers followed by “Welcome to Treasures on Main Street. We hope you find what you’re looking for!” Are you kidding me?! The kid could give a master class on customer service. Here he is saying goodbye to Harper and Carolyn.

What do you do when the Hot Rod Power Tour 2026 is passing through Carthage one block from our store? You invite them to stop and stretch their legs by shopping in our store! According to our research, a record 9,000 participants started their Route 66 journey in Joliet, IL which concludes in Tulsa, OK on Friday. We were fortunate to have some early tour travelers shop with us this week. Safe travels for all who pass through our great community!
