Love the shout out in the latest Cary Report. Juliet Books will open toward the end of July - stay tuned for the exact date and time.
It's been a tough couple of weeks on the local business front, so it feels good to have some happy news to share for a change.
Apex Outfitter & Board Co. is opening a second location in Downtown Cary after 14 years in Downtown Apex. They carry Patagonia, The North Face, skateboards, longboards, outdoor gear, and more. No address or opening date yet, but one photo from their announcement appeared to show the Cedar Street parking deck area. More details to come!
Esteamed Coffee is expanding to a second café at the NeighborUp Cary Campus (where High House Billiards used to be, a couple of doors down from the original Dorcas Thrift Shop), and they're bringing something extra along with them. The new spot will be paired with Dorcas Vintage & Home, a curated shop carrying vintage finds, elevated home goods, and one-of-a-kind donated pieces. The expansion will also create up to 12 new jobs for adults with disabilities. Really cool stuff!
Back in Downtown Cary, Juliet Books is putting the finishing touches on what will be a brand new independent bookstore. Opening date TBD, but it looks very close.
And Lloyd's Full Service, the highly anticipated restaurant going into the old filling station at the corner of Chatham and Academy, is expected to open this summer. It will feature a covered patio with a fire pit, live music stage, and an outdoor bar built inside a 1940s delivery van.
Good things are coming!
