Public Update:

Unfortunately with ongoing (yes, still ongoing) problems we have had with insurance, we regretfully cannot rebuild. As most of you know we have sold the property to Ryan and Mackenzie. We have sold the pharmacy to Medicap, to help the community get a pharmacy going. We are sad that things have worked out this way and it has been extremely emotional for us. We wish things would have worked out differently, but it has been out of our control. We appreciate the years of service to and support from the Cascade and surrounding communities. That being said we are happy we could help play a role in getting Medicap to the community to resume services. We believe it will be a great addition for you all and look forward to seeing how they grow there in the future. Devin Trone is a wonderful business owner and pharmacist. Ben now works for Devin at his Medicap location in Parma as well. We know you will be happy with them and are excited for the grand opening.

This is so important to raise awareness. I got not one but TWO animals sick in the past three months from the lake and river on cabarton! Verified by labs at the vet with high phos level. Ive spent well over a grand and going on three months nursing the horse back to health. Needless to say my animals or myself will not be touching the water in cascade anymore until I know something is fixed. It just has not been worth it this year.

To the community: the insurance claims are ongoing, and due to it being an extremely large claim, and dealing with insurance in general, it is a slower process than we anticipated. Unfortunately the timeframe is out of our hands and in the insurance company's on process for the temporary space. We are still working on the temporary pharmacy/store going in at Across the Tracks. We wish we could move everything along faster, but unfortunately we have no control over that as much as we wish we did! We are still working actively in the background however gathering necessary equipment and supplies to open. The building side of things unfortunately is moving as fast as they allow us to. Thank you for those who have reached out for updates. We have heard about 100 different rumors about the business, but want to encourage the public that anything needing to be communicated is communicated here or to the chamber of commerce. Anything else out there are just rumors, we do not disclose business information outside of these two places. Thank you!

We are reaching out to the community to locate partition boards/room dividers/folding wall panels, etc for the temp space for the pharmacy. They must be the type that are able to be secured. Or if anyone is versed in this area - and might have some idea on dividing the room to secure the pharmacy as a temporary fixture - we welcome any and all help, intel, and expertise! TIA!

Community: We want to reach out and thank Toby Olson, Joey Olano and Olson Excavation for doing such a fast and spectacular job cleaning up the pharmacy burn site. Toby has been an instrumental help and support to us. We want to let you know we are still actively working in the background to get our temp pharmacy and Dawson coffee shop up and running as quickly as possible. The Critchfield's who are new to the community have been instrumental in making this happen for us and the community. They have offered us Across The Tracks for as long as we need until the new building is rebuilt which may take up to a year due to the size and specificities of the pharmacy and state/city regulations. The community is our top priority and we appreciate the continued outpouring of support. Thank you to Mark Eschevarria for new counters, Bob and Paula Fodrea for furniture, Cody Woody for helping remodel to make the space functional, and the Cascade Community Fire Fund and all our donors for getting us donations to get supplies ordered. We will continue to keep the community posted!

We wanted to share the pictures that we took the morning of the fire and its progression as we watched helplessly from the car for 2 hours. These have been and still are very emotional pictures for us. We miss everyone very much that we grew accustomed to spending our days with, the pharmacy patients, the coffee bar and gift shop customers, locals and those passing thru. Most of all we miss our employees, our family. Listening to glass breaking, the roof creaking, firefighters moving about, feeling the heat of the flame down the road as if you were right next to a campfire, and Ole Glory flying across the street was very surreal. We had moments of tears. Thank you Jason Metz for staying by our side as a friend thru the entire thing, staying after your shift for hours to be support and care, and for being the one to call us to come down right away. Your friendship and that of your family's is more than words could say. Thank you Merandy for letting him take time from you guys to give to us in a desperate time. Thru the experience the you guys have become family not just friends. We value you. And we value everyone that fought valiantly attempting to save the heartbeat of Cascade, even though the outcome wasn't what we would have all hoped for. We love our community. Thank you from the deepest parts of our heart for the continued support thru this.
