This bull cutter is forged from 1095 and 15N20 with sheets of pure copper welded between the layers. Once the blade is etched, the copper comes up as three warm lines running the length of the grind. Dark carbon steel, bright nickel steel, and copper, all in one blade. Standard Damascus only gives you two of those.
The edge is still high-carbon steel, hardened to 59 to 61 HRC. The copper contributes nothing to how it cuts, and it takes nothing away either.
The ring at the butt is not styling. Hook a finger through it and the knife stays anchored when your hands are wet, and it hangs off a saddle horn or a tack room nail without a lanyard.
Black resin handle, three ovals of turquoise, brass pinning. Turquoise carries its own matrix, so the veining in these three stones is on this knife and no other.
8.5 inches overall, 4.25 inch blade, full tang, handmade pancake leather sheath with twin belt slots.
Not stainless. Wipe it dry, oil it, store it out of the sheath.
