❤️ Nature’s Ruby

Who would’ve thought that the fuzzy red seed heads growing along roadsides could become something this beautiful?

This is our Wild Sumac Jelly, and every batch starts with hand-picked staghorn sumac from northern Minnesota. The result is a bright, citrusy jelly with a gorgeous ruby-red color that almost glows in the sunshine.

It’s one of those gifts from nature that surprises people every year.

Well, bee season 2026 is officially underway, and Haseltine Acre has some new helpers! The grandsons donned Grandma’s bee suit and took turns manning the smoker — and they did a great job too.
