Attention Veterans!

Are you looking for something fun (and FREE) to do this weekend? Well, head on down to Roaring River State Park for Veterans Free Fishing Days! Veterans and active-duty military personnel are invited to fish for free on Saturday, Sept. 19.

Fishing permits or daily tags are free for eligible anglers during this event. All other fishing regulations still apply. September fishing hours are 7:30 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. Stop by the park store to get your tag.

Starting September 18th, trivia nights will be every other Friday with a fun new theme each night!

Round One: Foodie Face-Off
Round Two: Name That Restaurant
Plus a surprise bonus round! 🤫

Each round will have 30 questions, so grab your smartest friends, come hungry, and get ready to compete!
•
Points will be awarded at every trivia night! First place earns 5 points, second place earns 3 points, and third place earns 1 point. Points will add up through our final trivia night in the end of October when we’ll recognize our overall trivia champion! 🏆

Roaring River + Weddings 😍💍🏞️

This wedding was such a special one for me. Getting to photograph a wedding at Roaring River State Park—my HAPPY place - has been on my photography bucket list for years, and Christie and Greg made it even more meaningful.

Their day was relaxed, beautiful, full of love, and completely them. I went into the day excited to photograph their wedding and left feeling like we had made forever friends.

Some places just feel like home, and some people just feel like friends from the very beginning. I’ll be smiling about this one for a long time. 🤍

A trout over 3 pounds officially earns Lunker status and we’ve got some BIG catches to celebrate! 👏

Huge congratulations to Ethan and Amanda on catching their FIRST EVER LUNKERS, and to all of our other anglers who reeled in some massive lunkers too!! Ethan told his parents he wanted to catch a lunker, and he did JUST THAT! 🤩 We love celebrating every angler who lands one of these big trout!

Yesterday we said goodbye to Nina as she wrapped up her time with us. ❤️

Nina has been such a special part of our team and has made so many memories and friendships here along the way. She’s been a familiar and friendly face to so many of our guests and coworkers, and we’re truly going to miss having her around.

We’re sad to see her go, but so excited for her and this next chapter! We’re wishing her nothing but the best and can’t wait to see what’s ahead for her.

Thank you for everything, Nina. You’ll always be a part of the Roaring River family! ❤️
