Here’s a little sneak peek of our brand NEW box launching next Wednesday, September 1st! ☀️

The “You are my Sunshine” Heavenly Birthday Box is extra special because it was created to honor the brightest ray of sunshine, Benjamin Lewis Stenrose, on his 1st Heavenly Birthday.

Each of the products in Benjamin’s box were carefully chosen and designed by his own Momma and several other loss Mommas that I am honored to call my friends.

I can’t share all of the secrets about what we’re including in this box— just yet!

I can promise you though, that each item was intentionally chosen with the hopes that you will feel seen, loved and remembered— and that you’ll be able to honor your son or daughter on his or her Heavenly Birthday!

Our “You are my Sunshine” Box reveal will be Monday morning!

I found this Elizabeth Elliot quote on a sign in a little boutique last week and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about her words.

For so many of us in this loss & infertility community, 2020 was a year of investing and planting.

We invested in our health, our time, our money and most importantly, our faith.

With the turning of the new year, I have felt so fearful.

What if all that I planted in faith in 2020, leads to more failure in 2021?

What if...
... I invest more money into my health, only to find no answers?
.... What if we lose another baby?
.... What if we get pregnant but something Is wrong with our baby?
.... What if I’m unable to find peace if the answer is “no”?
.... What if at the end of this year, my trust in God’s Father heart, is weaker and more fragile?

The truth is... any number of these scenarios could happen to any one of us. But by letting our minds dig up the doubts and fears and worries of the past year, we do ourselves a huge disservice.

We worked hard in 2020 to plant seeds. These seeds have been growing roots. Instead of digging up these roots out of impatience and fear, let’s choose to believe that redemption is coming. Redemption might look like a baby. It also might not. I don’t have all the answers.

I do know though that if you’re anything like me, you’ve worked hard to walk boldly and bravely out of 2020. I for one don’t want any of the fear or doubts of this past year to stake claim on this new year.

I’m praying wisdom, overwhelming peace & courage on each of our journeys this year.

Love you sweet Mommas❤️

It’s a new year and a new month but for many loss Mommas, the coming of a new month only brings up old heartache.

Some of us have due dates this month. Some of us have lost precious babies and this month will bring on a painful anniversary.

If this is you, Momma, please know that we remember. We have not forgotten you or your sweet baby. Your baby’s life mattered. Your baby was precious and loved.

If you feel up to it, please share about your baby below so that we can honor you this month. ❤️

I’ve seen so many people heralding and celebrating the coming of 2021. I can’t help but wonder if I’m not the only one whose heart hurts at the idea of changing the page on the calendar tomorrow.

2020 was an impossibly hard year for so many reasons. But it was also the year that I carried and fought for my babies.

When I look back on this year, there will always be grief and sadness.

But, more than anything I will remember love and I will remember that for 20 weeks of this year, I was given the gift of being a Momma to these precious little souls. ❤️

I’ve heard it said many times this year, but it’s not until I find myself in another downward spiral that I really realize how much weight this statement holds.

Your grief journey will not be linear. Full stop.

I think I often allow my good days or weeks to trick my brain into thinking I’ve been fully healed from the trauma of all of the loss I’ve experienced.

And then, out of seemingly nowhere I’ll have a moment mid family gathering where I’ll find myself fighting back tears.

Or, I’ll find myself surprised by how hard it is see a Momma with her new baby in the grocery store.

Sometimes I find that hard weeks come out of nowhere and seem to send me reeling back from months of what I’ve deemed as healing and progress.

So, if you’re having a hard moment, a difficult day or a week that feels impossible, please be gentle with yourself.

You didn’t lose a favorite sweater or misplace a Christmas present. You lost life. Whether it was this year or 5 years ago. Your grief is worthy of giving pause to and showing honor to the life you lost because that little one was precious, wanted and loved.

Your grief journey will not be linear. And that, is perfectly okay. ❤️

While listening to the podcast recently on navigating the holidays after loss (episode 101), one of the thoughts really stood out to me.

It was said that if the idea of babies and birth are really hard for you to focus on during Christmas, I stead of focusing on the birth of Jesus, focus on Easter. Focus on the death and resurrection of Jesus and the miracle of His life overcoming death.

I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this. This profound idea has brought me so much comfort so I wanted to share with you.

I am so weary. Emotionally, I just feel so tired. My heart feels pummeled and beat up by this year, by the loss of my babies and by the hope I fought to keep.

But we can rejoice. We can find comfort. The miracle of this week is that it brought us a Savior who conquers death and gives our babies LIFE.

When I reflect on this thought, on the miracle of both Christmas & Easter and the marriage between the two, I am comforted because death does not get the final say. I hope this comforts you too. ❤️
