Easton Pa Official. Easton is not this great city it makes it out to be. Easton is pushing small business out of their festivals and events. Lets break this down. The mayors office refuses to fight for small businesses and stated atrend a board meeting as they set the fees. Easton fees for us as a pre-packaged non-sampling vendor are getting out of hand. First is the business license $50, second is the new event fee $50, third is a $75 a day health fee for them to come out and say yes you are pre-packaged and regulated by both departments of ag and local health as a manufacturer. The department of health does not do an actual inspection as we fo not meet the definition of prepared foods and we do not sample. That means we do not even need a wash station as we do nit touch any food peoducts. That is $250 in fees for a two day event such as Easton Garlic Fest or PA Bacon Fest on top of the high fees for those events. Unfortunately with this new fee structure you probably will not get to see us or our new exciting products at either of those events. I do not blame garlic or bacon fest for the cities bad decisions.
