*UPDATE* The Good: I am halfway through my time in the wheelchair (give or take), I am weeks off any yucky pain meds, I have finally replaced my driver’s license and cell phone, my kid started school, and I scored an absolutely AMAZING piece of cake over at Trail Rider!!! ❤️💙💜💛💚🧡 The Bad: While I was hoping to reopen the shop on Saturday…. IT FLOODED!!!! From the front to the back door filled w water and red mud. 🥺🥺🥺 While I was overwhelmed and disheartened at first…. My wonderful husband got in there and started working his magic! I will be at the shop on Saturday and Sunday but I will mostly be cleaning and resetting things…. Feel free to pop by and say hi! Otherwise I hope to open the following weekend…. Until then I will keep on rollin’ 🧡💚💛❤️💙💜

I had SO much fun vending with my "Strawberry Moon Satellite Setup" yesterday in The Bear Cave at Trail Rider!!!! It was wonderful to be back out in our beautiful community! I got so many hugs and well wishes and I made enough to cover the rent on the shop! Thank you!!!!! ❤️🧡💛💙🩷💜💚🩵 It really lit my fire to get the shop open at least a few days a week... So we have some work to do to make that happen, but that's where we are headed. More to come... 💜

Words fail... Healthcare workers are amazing! And holy hell, I have a titanium rod INSIDE my femur!!!! 🧡💙💜🩷❤️🩵💚 As the end of the month nears and my rent bill is fast approaching... I wanted to let you all know that I will be setting up a small vending table over at Trail Rider one of these last days of July. It will be a while before I can be open at the shop... (Apparently some super messy artist typically hangs out there...) I don't know which day yet, but I will soon! I am hoping to see, hug, and chat with so many of you! And maybe sell some sassy socks or something. I will let you all know when we have the details worked out. Thanks again and forever for the outpouring of support. It really has meant so much.🥰🥰🥰

*UPDATE* I am still here! 😸 I can't thank you all enough...🧡💜❤️💛💚🩷💙🩵 All of your well wishes and words of encouragement really lifted my spirits and felt like a great big hug. After a week in the hospital I headed to my family's home in town. Our mountain is still way to rustic for this injury. It has been so wonderful to be with my family! Home Health is rolling... My incisions apparently look good (yay!) We are managing the pain and starting to wade through the loss of my purse with my phone, keys, wallet... Everything. (It disappeared the night I went to the hospital...) But each day is feeling like at least a little hop forward... Figuring out getting around...looking forward to the amazing arms I am going to have after navigating that wheel chair through this! Thankful for my family... And for good coffee. Again... Thanks for caring y'all.... 🩵💙🩵🩷💚💛❤️💜🧡

I am very sorry to say that the shop will be closed for a while. I profoundly injured myself while working up on the mountain in our new home, falling 10 ft onto concrete breaking my right femur and cracking a vertebrae. As in I didn't check myself (aka my ladder) before I wrecked myself. I had surgery on Wednesday. Will be in the hospital through the weekend and then off to an impatient PT rehab center. Hope to be back open soon but for some amount of time the moon will stay dark. 💙💙💙

I grew up on a farm in Strawberry Plains Tennessee…. Strawberries grow wild in the grass there. Years ago my husband and I were sitting out in our rocking chairs up on our mountain and the Strawberry Moon rose and took our breath away! When I decided to open the shop… it had to be Strawberry Moon. 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷

Tonight’s Full Strawberry Moon reaches its peak at 7:56 p.m. EDT, marking the first full moon of summer and one of the year’s most beautiful lunar displays.

Despite its sweet name, the Moon won’t actually appear pink. The name comes from Native American traditions, marking the short but delicious strawberry harvest season across much of North America.

As darkness falls, step outside and enjoy the Moon as it rises low in the southeastern sky. When it’s near the horizon, it often appears larger than life and may even glow with golden or amber hues—a breathtaking sight that’s perfect for photos.

My heart is so full! The second painting I have been working on was unveiled today! I got to know this darling fella through one of my paint night “Paint Your Pet” events where he created a wonderful painting of his girlfriend’s late cat as a surprise…. I had not met her at the time but, as often happens, customers and clients transform into friends! I love it!!!! True for so many of you out there! 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 While they didn’t know each other as children… he took photos from when they were both 7 and spliced them together…. SHE then secretly sent it to me to paint for him for his birthday…. Which was yesterday. She got him into the shop today under the guise of sharing some homemade empanadas with me 🤤🤤🤤 It is a very specific moment when people first see something I have spent hours making for them. I put all of my love into my paintings and when people get emotional it makes my cup runneth over. This morning was one of those moments. 🥰🥰🥰 *happy girl*
