There is NOTHING worse for business than rain on the 4th of July, NOTHING! A sprinkle is fine, 🌧 a full blown down pour ⛈️ is not. Heat and humidity suck (ask us, we know) but RAIN 😭 Hopefully it passes soon and the sun comes out for a beautiful Saturday evening.

We know we always say if the door is open, we're open. Today, at least for a little bit the door will be closed (to keep the rain out of the building) but WE ARE OPEN, and will remain open until 10pm - or later if busy. 💥🧨💣

Dodge a few rain drops and come on in. We'd love to see you!

Happy 4th of July! 💣🧨💥 It's been a long HOT week, and it's not over yet. We still have plenty of stock available, and will be open 8am-10pm. As always, our closing time may vary, as we will stay open later if busy. ⏰️

Be prepared, it's definitely a tad bit warm 🔥in the building. We're doing our best to keep the air moving with the gazillion fans, but it's still toasty.

On today's episode of "it's a small world"....

A few weeks ago we had a soon to be bride reach out about sparklers for her wedding. We talked about how many she needed and which were the best for the situation. We were happy to provided them for the occasion. 🥰

Fast forward to late last night, we receive the attached video from the bride. How amazing and nice of her to send it! ❤️ She had also added her new, married last name to her profile. As the owner is responding to the message, she realizes that the married name is very familiar. After a few back and forth's it's determined that the groom is a distant relative to the owner of the store! 😳

We know everyone knows everyone, but this takes it to the next level. Crazy how life comes full circle. Congratulations to the happy couple, we wish you a lifetime of love and happiness. ❤️

Who's our favorite? Some will say they are because they personally know the owner or staff.❤️ Others will say them, because they have been coming for years. 😘 Some might say the people who spend the most, 💰 or those who stop in early to avoid the rush. 🗓

All of those are great options, and we try to be impartial but our absolute favorite are the kids! 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️The little ones with wonder in their eyes. The ones who are SOOOOO excited when they see our door open. The ones who hopefully will some day bring in their own children. Now of course we know without you footing the bill 💰we wouldn't have them, so as much as we LOVE them, we appreciate and love you for bringing them in. ❤️

Over the years, some of our littles have made us cards and drawings. We have finally decided those tokens of love deserve to be displayed. They range from notes, hand drawn pictures, and signed two dollar bills that grandpa gave them to pay for their goodies. 🥰

We believe this is a great addition to the "family" atmosphere that we try so hard to maintain year after year. We thank you for helping us achieve this! ❤️

Did someone say FIREWORKS! Well if you did, this is the place. Product is in, shelves are stocked, and we are anxiously waiting to see you!

Every year we get asked a few questions so we thought we'd get a jump on it and answer now.

Q: What are your hours?⏰️
A: Sat-Wed from 10am-8pm.
Thurs-the 4th from 9am (or earlier) until at least 9pm, but probably later. Basically if we are busy, we stay. If it's super slow, we leave.

Q: Do you have M-80's, quarter or half sticks?🧨
A: NO, no we don't! Never have, never will. They are illegal, yes, we know your neighbor has them. 🙄

Q: Oh my god, why is it so hot in here?🔥
A: The fact is we don't have air conditioning. It's impossible to keep the building cool even with ac (we had it back in the day). So fans it is, a gazillion of them.

We KNOW, you've been waiting.....patiently waiting. Well it's official, we are OPEN everyday through the 4th of July! We have been here the past few weekends, getting in product, stocking shelves, and loving that some of you have stopped by! 💥💣

Some of our favorite things we've heard are...

"My kids are driving me crazy, everytime we drive by asking if you're open"🤪

"Mom....the door is open, can we stop!"♥️

"We're only getting a little today, we'll be back....another 10 times between now and the 4th" 😆

We absolutely LOVE all of you, the support you've given and continue to give us year after year. For those of you who haven't stopped in, don't know us, or have said "that place is never open, I've never seen anyone there" stop in, we'd love to get to know you!

We often are asked if we have fireworks during the "off" season. The answer is YES! Celebrating a special event 🥂 or having a party 🎉 we are here to help! 🧨💣💥 In the past we have supplied product for weddings, gender reveals, and birthday parties. We LOVE being a part of your celebrations and are ALWAYS willing to help out to make your event extra special. Simply reach out via social media if you need something!

The last post of the season.....it always seems to be the hardest. 😔 How do we find the words to convey exactly what is being felt? Somehow "thank you" just doesn't do it justice.

After all these years, 52 to be exact, we are so very thankful for the opportunity to continue to serve our customers and the community. The fact that you choose to shop with us and support us year after year is amazing! ❤️ We are forever grateful.

As the owner of the business I also need....no, correction.....WANT to take the time to talk about our fabulous team. Without them, none of this would be possible. The long hours, pride, dedication, heart, soul, and love they pour into this business and our customers is beyond exceptional! Each of them treats this as if it were their own, putting the business and my needs as the owner before their own. I'm not sure what I've done, or why I am so fortunate to have them by my side through all of this, but I am eternally grateful for all they do.❤️

Welcome to the great debate! Originally we posted that we would be open Saturday, July 5th noon-8pm. We have now realized that opening at noon is too late, so we've decided that we will open at 10am! 🕙

Now, the million dollar question.....how late will we stay open? 🤔 Well, it's safe to say at least 8pm, maybe later, but maybe not, just depends on how busy we are. It's been a very long, hot week, and we are definitely feeling it, so we will be closed on Sunday.

We still have a great selection of product if you're looking to continue the celebration. 💥🧨💣
