We've been working hard the last couple of weeks to prepare for Viking Fest Minnesota the next two weekends!

Tomorrow, we will load the longship and venture to Minnesota to get all set up. Viking Fest runs Saturday and Sunday 10-6 the next TWO weekends!

The Renaissance Faire at Sleepy Hollow - you all showed out!!! What an absolutely amazing 3 weekends! We have SO MUCH WORK to do to restock before Viking Fest Minnesota in a few weeks!

But for now...sleep! 😴😴

We appreciate all of the patrons that stopped by to see us...whether you purchased from us or not. We love the conversations we get to have with you all! We hope to see you soon! Whether next year at Sleepy Hollow, or at one of our other events!

With the large amounts of rain recently, our parking areas have become saturated. Since the areas are still very soft, cars may go in, but they don't come out...

We are making every effort to accommodate as many of our guests as possible, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work with Mother Nature.

Through the day, we will monitor the parking and if possible, issue additional tickets at 1:00 pm today. It will be posted either way...if tickets are available or not.

Comments will be turned off for our recent posts as scammers are taking advantage of the situation. Please ignore the scammers.

It is the LAST weekend of The Renaissance Faire at Sleepy Hollow! I'll be posting tomorrow about our location, because we were moved a little bit due to all of the rain.

If you're coming this weekend, make sure you read the original post, because they have had to make some changes to parking for this weekend!!!

👑IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION: East 30th St & Dean Ave👑

It’s the FINAL weekend of the Fall Faire at the Des Moines Renaissance Faire at Sleepy Hollow!

Mother Nature has blessed us with rain this week, and we are working diligently with all of the puddles she left us. Parking has been adjusted so that our guests may have the best experience possible and not be stranded in mud! 🐷

Please read carefully…
🏰VIP Parking will be on site at 4051 Dean Ave. These tickets are sold online only with limited availability. If they do not show as an option when purchasing tickets, they are sold out.
🏰Handicap parking with permits will be on site at 4051 Dean Ave.

🏰General Admission parking will be at the Iowa State Fairgrounds on the corner of East 30th St. and Dean Ave. The parking area is only 1.4 miles from Sleepy Hollow.

🏰 We will chauffeur our guests with brightly painted buses to the Renaissance Faire! (It’s more fun with color!)
🏰There is a drop off / pick up area at the Ren Faire (4051 Dean Ave) if you would like someone to drop you off and pick you up.

Important Notes:
🔷 Look for large signs with “Ren Faire Parking” to find our lots (East 30th St & Dean Ave)
🔷 Pick Up / Drop Off location will be near the State Fair Volunteer Check In. The building is blue and on the corner lot at E. 30th St & Dean Ave. (See pic)
🔷Security will be monitoring the parking area.
🔷Buses will pick up guests beginning at 9:15 am on Saturday and Sunday (19-20th)
🔷Buses will drop off guests at the front gate area of the Ren Faire.
🔷Buses will run from 9:15 am until all guests have exited the ren faire in the evening.
🔷 Buses will run continuously throughout the day.
🔷 Buses will run AFTER the Cannon Ball to return those guests to their vehicles.

Also for week 3 I made some minor tweaks to three of my older knives. Since making these three I switched to using Brazilian waxed cord for the wrap to get different colors for my art knifes. I also made a new pitch since originally making these.
