African Women Empowered's booth at Cedar Rapids Downtown Farmers Market is #11. It is on 3rd St near the intersection with 2nd Ave. We are right next to Cliff's Dive Bar. The weather might be a little wet but should be light rain off and on. So grab your umbrella and come to see us!! We are so excited to show our Global Mamas merch along with all of our regular items!

You do NOT want to miss Cedar Rapids Downtown Farmers Market this Saturday, August 1st!!
For years many of you have admired the fair trade batik fabric that we get from a women's group in Ghana. The group is called Global Mamas. They start with certified organic white cotton. They dye it and stamp the design with hand carved stamps on every piece by hand. We have purchased this fabric and made skirts, bags, aprons and other merchandise with it.
We are SO VERY EXCITED!! We have a very limited partnership with Global Mamas. We now have a variety of merchandise that was made by the Mamas in Ghana. We will feature these items on August 1st at the market. When this merchandise is gone it will be gone.
Here are a few pictures of some of the dresses you can see on Saturday. I'll post more throughout the week.

WOW! The last 2 Saturdays at the Downtown Farmers Market have been so much fun! It was great to see old friends and supporters and to be able to introduce A.W.E. to new people.
We are going to have a special sale at the next Market on June 20th. Let us know what items you would like to see featured.

The ladies of A.W.E. have been working very hard to make fabulous new merchandise for The Cedar Rapids Downtown Farmers Market!

May 30, June 6, June 20, July 18, August 1, August 15, Sept 5, Sept 19.
You will find us under our purple canopy in stall #11 on 3rd St in front of Cliff's Dive Bar.

We have some exciting things to share with you! We still have our very popular wrap around skirts but now have some matching appliqued t-shirts! Here are a few pictures. Let us know what you think!
