This week's highlight, quilts, quilts, QUILTS! The first one is of Pamela Hosier Bates' beautiful Stained Glass Window quilt, just as we began to quilt it. Didn't get a picture of it before it left the building fully quilted, so perhaps we can get Ty Bates to take a picture with Pam! The second quilt is the insanely lovely wedding quilt that was hand-quilted at home by our own Denise Wright, as a gift to her granddaughter and new husband just this last weekend. The camera-shy Denise has been working like mad all summer! The last of the finished quilts is this gorgeous panel quilt that was hand quilted by all of us, and pieced by our own Elwanda Loggins, who has an unrivaled smile. Included a quick peek at the quilted back side of the panel quilt, which is just as lovely as the front now!

Last but not least, Marilyn Self's beautiful quilt that is the next one to be hand quilted is surrounded by our quilters hard at work here, starting with Romona Smallwood in red, and then around to the left, Denise Wright, Darelene Harris, Jeannie Martin, Joan Storey, Elwanda Loggins and then Marilyn Self at front right. Invitation to the Cedarville area community! Anyone who wishes may set a table up FOR FREE on Friday or Saturday, September 25 and 26 (or both) in the parking lot in front of the Old Rock School! Saturday, 9/26 is also the last Cedarville Farmers Market! All this is in conjunction with Pickin' Time on 59, which extends down to Van Buren this year! See you there, whether you want to set up and sell, or see what's there to buy!

This weekend, three wonderful ladies who know Cedarville Schools history came in to clean out the History Room. All the pictured items were evicted, and are yours if you want them for free. Everything but the tables shown here is free to anyone who wants to come in to pick them up on Tuesday or Saturday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Considering how many bad backs are in the group, we probably can't help you load them, I'm afraid. 🤪 We also don't deliver, sorry! 😂 Below you'll find a paperback rack, the oldest (non-working) ice cream maker I've ever seen, a Bunn coffeemaker with three pots (it worked when we stored it) and more, plus 11 office chairs that either have a broken leg, the riser no longer works (or works too well), they don't roll well, or something else is wrong with them! They have been used for years by the quilting ladies, so they've definitely seen some hard work! 😅 Come in and take a look! See you at the Old Rock School!

This week's highlight is Kathy Teague's first quilt, cut and pieced during Kathy Bramlett's July quilting class here at the Old Rock School! The Turning 20 pattern you can see here was taught throughout July and early August this year. Teri Collins machine quilted it for Kathy, and we think it turned out great!
