🛶 A little behind the scenes from the River Rats… 🐀❤️

If you’ve noticed things have been a little quiet around here the last few days, there’s a good reason!
School is back, sports are starting up, and our family is trying to find our new rhythm. And this year feels a little extra special because our youngest River Rat is starting his SENIOR YEAR! 🥹🎓💙

Between school, sports, practices, homework, busy evenings and all the everyday craziness that comes with this time of year, we’ve decided to take a few weeks off from the hustle and bustle of River Rat Snacks.
And honestly… we’re okay with that. ❤️

One of the biggest reasons we started this little business was to build something our family could enjoy together. So right now, we’re choosing to slow down, soak up some family time, cheer from the sidelines, and enjoy this season of life while we can.
Because we all know how quickly these years go by. 🥹

The River Rats aren’t going anywhere! 🐀🛶 We’ll still be behind the scenes dreaming up new snacks, making plans, and getting ready for what’s next. We just won’t be quite as busy for the next couple of weeks while we get everyone settled into our new daily schedule.

Thank you for continuing to support our little family business and for understanding when family has to come first. ❤️
We’ll be back before you know it… and we can’t wait to see you all again!
Until then, we’re going to soak up every minute of this crazy, busy, wonderful season. 🥰🛶🐀

💜 Event Update from River Rat Snacks 💜

Unfortunately, due to the forecasted rain, tomorrow's Museum Vendor Fair has been postponed until Saturday, August 15th.

While we're disappointed we won't get to see everyone tomorrow, we also wanted to let you know that we won't be able to attend the rescheduled date. We'll be spending that weekend celebrating something incredibly special—our family is getting ready to welcome our very first grandbaby this September! 🥰

Family means everything to us, and we're grateful for your understanding as we take this time to celebrate this exciting new chapter.

Thank you all for your continued support of River Rat Snacks. We can't wait to see everyone at another event soon, and we'll keep you posted on where we'll be next!

Our hearts—and our candy containers—are a little lighter after an amazing day in Loogootee! 💙🍬

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth today. Whether you picked up your favorite treats, tried freeze-dried candy for the first time, or simply stopped to chat, we truly appreciate you.

Small businesses like ours are able to keep doing what we love because of wonderful communities like this one.

The Candy Man, aka the hubby, definitely has a voice for radio or TV!

We have a wide variety of candy; including 16 varieties of Saltwater Taffy, 5 varieties of Skittles, fruit roll ups, peach rings, nerd clusters, jolly ranchers, and so much more!

I have also brought along some crocheted dish scrubbers, water balloons, pumpkins, Halloween bags, and Christmas trees!

We are set up at Hometown Flowers & Gifts along HWY 231 directly across from the water fountain from 3-7 this evening. Just follow the delicious smell of BBQ which is also available!

Looks like the garden has been working just as hard as the freeze dryer! 🌱😊

We're thankful for another bountiful harvest and wanted to share a little of it with our community.
