Some weeks have a way of reminding you what really matters.

Life has a way of bringing both challenges and blessings. There are moments that leave you discouraged... and then there are moments that remind you just how much kindness still exists in the world.

This week reminded me that growth doesn't always happen all at once. Sometimes it comes one kind word at a time. One helping hand at a time. One encouraging message at a time. One new friend at a time.

It's easy to focus on what's missing or what didn't go the way we hoped. If we only look at the big picture, we can miss the small blessings that quietly add up along the way.

Today, I'm choosing gratitude.

Grateful for family. Grateful for friends. Grateful for every conversation, every encouraging word, every act of kindness, and every person who chooses to spend a little of their time here with Daisy Lou and Company.

Whether you've been here since the beginning or just recently joined this little community... thank you. Your support means more than you probably realize.

Well... Mother Nature kept us guessing today.

Based on the forecast, I made the difficult decision not to set up at the Palmyra Farmers Market. As it turned out, the rain never really arrived. Sometimes that's just the way it goes, and I'd rather miss a market than risk damaging the handmade products I've worked so hard to create.

I truly missed seeing everyone today and appreciate your understanding.

I'll be back at the Palmyra Farmers Market, Indiana next Saturday, weather permitting, with plenty of handmade gifts, books, earrings, and more.

Today was one of those days that reminded me that Daisy Lou and Company is about so much more than the things I create—it's about people, kindness, and connection.

A heartfelt thank you to Katelynn and Kaleb Wyman for hosting such a wonderful Football Fundraiser and for inviting Daisy Lou & Company to be a part of it. Your hard work, hospitality, and dedication to your community were evident throughout the event.

To the two amazing young ladies who helped me load my vehicle at the end of the day, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You didn't have to stop what you were doing to help me, but you did anyway. Your kindness, generosity, and willingness to jump right in meant more than you'll ever know. Sometimes the simplest acts of kindness leave the biggest impression.

To everyone who stopped by my booth—whether you made a purchase, shared a kind word, offered encouragement, or simply took a moment to browse—thank you. Every conversation, every smile, and every purchase helps support this little dream of mine, and I never take that for granted.
One conversation today especially touched my heart. A customer who has followed Daisy Lou & Company for quite some time shared that she has been going through a difficult medical journey. She told me how much this little business and its journey have meant to her. Hearing those words was a beautiful reminder that what we create isn't always measured in sales. Sometimes it's measured in the connections we make and the kindness we share.

🌼 A Back-to-School Thought from Daisy Lou and Company 🌼

In just a few days, thousands of children will walk through school doors carrying far more than backpacks.

Some will carry excitement.
Some will carry fear.
Some will carry worries they'll never share.

The smile you see may be hiding a difficult home life. The child wearing last year's clothes may come from a family doing the very best they can. The quiet student may simply be hoping someone will say, "Would you like to sit with us?"

What if, this school year, we measured our children less by grades, trophies, or popularity and more by the kindness they leave behind?

Teach them that kindness is strength.

Teach them that differences don't divide us—they make our world richer.

Teach them that a classmate's worth isn't measured by the clothes they wear, the lunch they bring, the way they learn, the color of their skin, the neighborhood they call home, or the challenges they face.

Every child deserves to feel safe.
Every child deserves to feel seen.
Every child deserves to feel included.
Every child deserves to know they matter.

The lessons our children remember most won't always come from a textbook. Many begin around the dinner table, during a car ride, or in the quiet moments before the first day of school.
