One of my favorite things was hosting parties. I’d think of any reason or theme to have a party or a girls night! Nowadays there’s not much spare time to do that. But when one of your best friends kiddos is getting married you make the time! I hosted with the help of a girlfriend a garden themed wedding shower last month. It reminded me of why I started Terramania. I just love opening my home and making people feel warm and welcomed from the time they come thru my door to the time they leave.

You accomplish this feeling with a relaxed atmosphere, offering a drink, food and conversation. My favorite part of hosting is throwing in the unexpected.. like a tiger on the bar set up or an elephant used for serving food. It makes it fun and whimsical. I also love using mixed matched plates and stemware. People love picking out their own.. you learn a lil more about their personalities that way too.

And for decor.. there’s nothing prettier than using food as decor.. it’s so vibrant and brings in that touch of nature with all the fruits and veggies.

So remember the next time you’re hosting, don’t forget to throw in your elephant or tiger piece for a fun unexpected element to your party!

Sold our first set of chaps on this wall.. these cuties are up next. Love the warm carmel color of these little kids chaps against the blue fabric. We had picked everything from the chaps, to frame details to the fabric it’s sewn on. Both the chaps and lil vest are perfect one of a kinds to add to a gallery wall or hang in a nursery or kids room. They are really neutral and could be hung anywhere.

Welp… this was a hard one to post! We knew this day would come .. but these 4 yrs went by so fast!! Arden has been with me since the beginning… like when I came up with the idea 6 yrs ago. She’s been my hype girl from day one!! We worked together before that at our previous job so we’ve known each other for 7 yrs. After I left to start Terramania she followed. She believed in me. Don’t know what I would have done without her by my side. She came to home shows, pop ups, and trained to help run the shop. She helped form and shape this dream I call Terramania. She’s creative and filled in that spot that I couldn’t do.. all the back end. I say she was like the mother ship running things in the back. We can’t thank you enough Arden for keeping us organized and just afloat and knowledgeable on every product coming in and out.

There is a season for everything.. even though we are gonna miss her terribly… but it’s her season to go and be that stay at home mom like we’ve all had the privilege to be. With her little one starting Kindergarten in the Fall, she’ll too start a new chapter in her life and she’ll never regret quitting this position for the position of staying home for her. Ohhh she’ll find ways back into the shop I’m sure.. with her talents of painting and creating, I feel they’ll be some pop ups scheduled!!

So for now.. come by the shop.. wish her well, and hug her neck. Her last day will be Friday June 19th. And you can also drop by The Silos that Friday after we close up shop for one last whoop and holler. We ❤️ you Arden girl!

Just in… our oak wood sideboard. She’s 84” long x 19” deep x 33” high. It has a soft close to its doors and drawers. Inside are shelves which are great for storage. It’s perfect for a dining room to use a serving buffet/bar. Or place it your entryway, family room or study. This piece is so versatile!

I love it how it’s styled out here with all our Jan Barboglio pieces from her candle sticks to her silver ice bucket tray and stemware.

I also love mixing our rustic pieces with our modern. This rustic porthole mirror is perfect flanked above this modern sideboard. Plus our vintage lamps are like the cherry on top setting the mood.
