**FROM THE FEEDLOT TO THE SHACKLE — PLAN BEFORE YOU PROCESS**
Processing cattle successfully starts long before they arrive at the plant.
D&D Meats is developing our **Feeding Projection Model as a service for our customers** to help producers better plan cattle for harvest.
Using actual production assumptions, the model can help estimate:
• Projected weight gain and finish weight
• Expected days on feed
• Feed requirements and projected feeding cost
• Target harvest timing
• How cattle performance affects the economics of the finished animal
The goal isn't to tell a producer how to feed cattle.
The goal is to give producers another tool to help answer an important question:
**“When should these cattle be ready to harvest, and what should it cost to get them there?”**
That information can also help coordinate feeding decisions with available processing dates, USDA grading, and marketing plans.
At D&D Meats, we want to provide more than a place to process cattle.
We want to help producers build a better connection between **production, processing, grading, labeling, and the final market.**
If you're feeding cattle for a specific harvest window and would like to discuss using the projection model, contact D&D Meats.
**Plan the cattle. Plan the harvest. Know the numbers.**
