MORE THAN JUST A SHIRT!

This month, Firehouse Shirt Club is honored to feature Boston Rescue 2, a shirt and patch developed, earlier this year, exclusively alongside the members of one of the most respected companies in the fire service who are commemorating their 100th year. What began as a celebration of their tradition, pride, and culture has now taken on a much deeper meaning.

Last week, Rescue 2 and the Boston Fire Department suffered the tragic line-of-duty death of Firefighter Robert T. "BK" Kilduff Jr. A firefighter, brother, father, Marine, and member of a proud firefighting family, BK's loss is being felt far beyond the walls of the firehouse 🇺🇸

A portion of every Firehouse Shirt Club membership featuring Boston Rescue 2 will go directly back to the crew like we do EVERY MONTH. In addition, we've created a commemorative BK fundraiser shirt, and 100% of the proceeds from that shirt will go directly to the Kilduff Family: https://tr.ee/0MhKQ-5C2Y

If you're not currently a member and would like to receive the Boston Rescue 2 feature shirt, email [email protected], sign up at firehouseshirtclub.com and we'll do our best to accommodate your request. Supplies are limited as we move into the next feature 🔥

From Their House to Yours. Let's show Rescue 2 and the Kilduff Family what this brotherhood is capable of!!!

This month, the Firehouse Shirt Club was honored to feature Boston Fire Department Rescue Company 2, a crew with a deep legacy of service, pride, and sacrifice. During that feature, BFD suffered the unimaginable loss of firefighter Robert T. Kilduff Jr. In the line of duty.

With the blessing and approval of the Rescue Co. 2 crews, we created the Boston R2 Firefighter Robert Kilduff Commemorative Shirt to help support his family during this difficult time. Every dollar raised from this project will go directly to the family.

Sometimes this job places us in a position where supporting one another is not optional, it's simply what we do. We are grateful for the opportunity to stand with Rescue Co. 2 and honor Bobby's legacy the best way we know how.

Today, with the support of our loyal members and our 414 Benevolent Fund, we had the honor of donating to the family of Firefighter Robert T. 'BK' Kilduff Jr., who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

No amount can replace a husband, father, brother, son, or friend, but we hope it serves as a small reminder that the fire service stands together no matter the patch on the shoulder.

Let's take care of our own by donating here: https://giving.gofundme.com/campaign/804941/donate

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember the men and women who gave everything in service to others, starting on the battlefield, continuing back home in the streets, and in those who continued their servitude in our firehouses.

Featured here on a recent trip to Boston is Curtis Bell: Corporal, USMC (2002–2006), veteran of tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Africa, and an active firefighter since 2008. Today, Curtis carries the memory of those he served beside and loved:

• John Hartwig, GySgt, USMC — KIA 18DEC2015
• Lindsey Hartley, Cpl, USMC — KIA 12AUG2018
• Stephen Jackel, Sgt, US Army — KIA 3JAN2018
• Wade Bell, Paramedic, Amarillo Medical Service — EOW 21MAR2016

As we honor the fallen this weekend, our hearts are also with the family, friends, and brothers and sisters of Bob Kilduff following his tragic Line of Duty Death Saturday night.

It is a solemn and humbling coincidence that this month’s Firehouse Shirt Club release features the patch and shirt of Boston Fire Department Rescue 2. Tomorrow, with the help of Rescue 2 we will share details on a commemorative shirt being created to help support Bob’s family, along with information on how to donate. Currently, you can give directly to his GoFundMe via link: https://giving.gofundme.com/campaign/804941/donate

Tonight, we simply ask everyone to remember the names, remember the sacrifice, and hold your people a little closer.

Never forgotten. 🇺🇸🔥

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor the men and women who gave everything in service to others, both in uniform overseas and here at home. Tonight, our fire service family is mourning the loss of Boston Fire Department Rescue 2 Firefighter Robert “Bobby” Kilduff Jr., who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty while operating at a three-alarm fire in Dorchester on Saturday night.

“BK” was a third-generation firefighter, Marine veteran, mentor, and the kind of brother every firehouse hopes to have beside them. In the days leading up to his passing, he was still doing what firefighters do best, helping others without hesitation. His final alarm came while ensuring residents made it out safely, a reflection of the courage and selflessness that defined his life and career.

From all of us at Firehouse Shirt Club, we extend our deepest respect, prayers, and condolences to the Kilduff family, the members of Rescue Company 2, and the entire Boston Fire Department. Rest easy, brother. We’ll take it from here 🙏🏼

In the fire service, the smallest details can make the biggest difference.

At FDIC, we stopped by BA Shields, a firefighter-owned company focused on protecting one of the most important parts of the job—your SCBA mask. Built from firsthand experience, their gear is designed to take the abuse of the fireground while keeping your equipment ready when it matters most.
Firefighter owned. Fireground tested. 👊

Some tools become part of the job. The PIG isn’t just one of them—it’s becoming a fireground staple.

At FDIC we caught up with Lonestar Axes LLC THE PIG - Forcible Entry Tool a firefighter-owned company behind The PIG Tool, to talk about how a tool built for the fire service is earning its place on rigs across the country.

Built by firefighters. Trusted on the fireground. 👊
