Tri-County Electric continues to work diligently to restore power following recent impacts across the area. As of the time of this release, outage maps indicate approximately 2,500 customers remain without power.

Due to ongoing conditions, the City of Celina and Clay County have both declared a State of Emergency as of yesterday. Local and county agencies are actively coordinating response efforts to support affected residents.

Officials strongly encourage the public to check on neighbors, particularly elderly residents and other vulnerable populations, to ensure their safety and well-being.

For residents without power, three shelters are currently open and providing food, warmth, and other essential supplies at the following locations:

City Hall of Celina – Basement

Clay County Rescue Squad Building
74 River Road, Celina, TN

Mount Vernon Fire Department
4029 Bakerton Road, Red Boiling Springs, TN 37150

Residents who need transportation to a shelter are asked to contact Clay County Dispatch (non-emergency) at:

931-243-3266

Additionally, a water request has been submitted at the state level for residents currently without water service. Once water resources arrive, the public will be notified via Reverse 911 and official communication channels with pickup times and locations.
