Blueberryjoefarms

Blueberryjoefarms Growing plants and berries since 2008! Our mission is to sell quality plants and berries to our local community and beyond. It makes all the hard work worth it.

Blueberryjoefarms was started back in 2008 as an answer to a little girl's need for fresh fruit. We started that year with just a few small plants. In 2009, we expanded to about 100 plants and in 2010 we crossed over 200 plants in the field. What started as a plan to provide fresh fruit for the family has expanded into what will hopefully be a future PYO operation. In 2011, operations expanded int

o local blueberry plant sales. We started out by purchasing bare root blueberry plants in early spring from small family farms in Michigan. We had intended to only sell a few of those first plants, and to increase our field size. But plant sales took off, and we sold nearly all the plants we had.

2012 was an even bigger year for plant sales as we topped 900 plants. We had found an untapped market for blueberry plants in NH. Blueberry Joe drove all over NH meeting and delivering plants at prices that were competitive with the big box stores.

2013 is here and we are finally preparing for expanding our blueberry field again. Spring sales were productive and have helped to raise funds to expand the field. The tiny twigs we planted over 3 years ago are producing well, and production will be increasing for many years to come. There is something special about eating that first sun ripened berry that is nearly the size of a quarter.

THANK YOU!!

We were able to open up our PYO operation to about 10 families this year. Between all those pickers and the birds, we are basically done picking for the 2026 season. We had a hard winter on the bushes, but the harvest was better than expected. We are looking forward to how we can make this experience even better for 2027. We may be done selling berries for the season, but we will be back in September for plant sales. Enjoy the rest of your summer! 🫐

Looking for a couple local people that would like to PYO berries either Wed 7/22 or Friday 7/24. Available by appointment only, between 9am and 5pm or until picked out. Bring your own picking buckets. Pricing is $3 a pound for both raspberries and blueberries for under 20 pounds. If you pick more than 20 total pounds, pricing is only $2.50 a pound. Get your winter berries frozen before the birds eat them. Please send a private message for more info and to reserve a time. Thanks

We are not certified organic, but we do not spray for pests or weeds and use organic practices.

Friends don’t let friends pick blueberries alone. Together we had a 50 pound day! That’s enough for one day!

WOW! We are sold out for spring! Just kidding, but we are wrapping up spring sales quickly. We still have a few customers that need to pickup plants. We have already begun removing our FB ads and will remove the last couple once we have wrapped up those transactions. If you meant to visit us sooner, this is your last chance to make a spring appointment. Then we will be stopping plant sales until September.

On a related note, we will be fertilizing our blueberries with Holly-Tone this week. So now is a great time to fertilize yours. You will want to fertilize before the end of June.

Also, we will hopefully have 5 # bundles of berries for sale again this summer, and we will offer them to our followers here first. Hopefully we will have a harvest starting mid July. Stay tuned.

Thanks to so many people who have become repeat customers. It is the people that are excited about growing their own fruit that really make this adventure worth it. Have a great growing season! 🫐

Not great results winter sowing seeds here. But we have a few Salvia sprouts and it looks like the daisies did fantastic. It was worth trying once. I am just not great at starting things from seed. In other news we still have some nice perennials and fruits shrubs left. Final 2 weeks of spring sales is here. Available Friday and Saturday this week for appointments. Please send us a message before stopping by. 🫐
