It’s time to pass the torch! 🤍
After 8 incredible years, we’ve made the bittersweet decision not to return as a vendor at Charm at the Farm this year.
We LOVE Charm at the Farm . Vintage Market, so this decision was not made lightly. It came after a lot of prayer, reflection, and clarity.
When I did the math, I realized that’s been 71 market days (and closer to 80 when you count setup/teardown!) spent at the farm. What an amazing chapter it has been. I truly feel like we were given such favor and loved so very much within the Charm community.
Charm has been so much more than a pop-up market for us. It has played a meaningful role in the story of Shoppe Smitten, and I will always be grateful for that. We grew right alongside Charm—from a little starter business, to an expanded booth, to a front-and-center 20x20 sponsor booth, and ultimately spending our final years in the front row as a premier vendor. We’ve been there through it all.
The dramatic moments? Outdoor shopping in masks, wind storms, mud pit aisles, snow in October, extreme heat, packed parking lots, WiFi outages, emergency product runs, and slinging sweaters over the fences. Somehow, it all just added to the adventure.
But the highlights outshine it all. The diehard Charmers. The VIP nights. The compliments on our booth. The vendor community and friendships formed. The incredible sales weekends. The sunsets on the farm. The excitement of seeing lines form and witnessing the magic created under those big tops.
As our business has grown, so have the demands on our time, schedules, and resources. This decision comes from a place of gratitude and excitement for the season we’re in. The growth we’re experiencing in-store and online requires us to stay committed to delivering the best possible experience to our customers without trying to do everything at once.
There are practical reasons too. I can no longer ask my husband and team to carry the extra load that Charm weekends require, and we also have one final season of peewee football that I absolutely refuse to miss. When I say a lot went into this decision, I mean it.
To the entire Charm at the Farm team: thank you for creating something so special and doing it with such excellence, heart, and purpose. We have proudly called Charm our one and only market for eight years, and that will always be something I treasure.
While we won’t be there as a vendor, you can absolutely count on seeing me there shopping! And I’m thrilled that our absence creates an opportunity for another small business to step into a dream of their own.
So much love. So much gratitude. And so many wonderful memories.
Now come see us at the shoppe or online, and go buy your Charm tickets! 🤍
