Here’s a little history lesson on this fine Sunday…. 2012, this ambitious 21 year old who didn’t finish her Fashion college program, got some shirts printed with designs made on a Dell Inspiron (the dark blue one) with the Paint app. Before SBK, there was Brass Knuckle Barbie Dolls… inspired by overlooked strength of women. Although aesthetically, I/we/SBK has come sooooooooo far from THAT lol, the inspo is ALWAYS prevalent. Back then, nobody I knew was doing what I was trying to do. I wanted a creative outlet with cute and comfortable shirts and products, while I saved up to produce a RTW fashion line. Just in 2012-13 I spent so much time and money making mistakes, trying things that failed, looking for peoples approval or attention…. And 10 years after these crazy looking cheap vinyl t-shirts, I’m STILL learning. I take breaks business wise and creatively… I’m a full time Mom and have like 5 other ventures but nonetheless, SBK is my first baby! I’m definitely an OG in this, but God is the GOAT 🐐! I’m appreciative to everyone who’s supported at any point of its existence. And big shoutouts to those who have stayed locked in the whole time 🙏🏽
